Darryl Brewer had been scheduled to testify for Jodi Arias last Thursday. According to him he had flown in, at great personal expense, and was prepared to testify last Thursday. Because of other court business he was not allowed to testify. He was rescheduled for the following Monday and once again was told he could not testify. Later that evening, he did give a long interview to the media and he said things he would have said in court, plus more than what he would’ve been allowed to say in court.
Jodi’s ex-boyfriend Darryl Brewer says what he could not say in court
Darryl said that Jodi had changed so much, since his relationship with her had ended, that she was totally unrecognizable to him. He said the Jodi that existed, after she left him, was a completely different person from the one he had known. He said that their relationship was fine until she became involved in Prepaid Legal, which is another way of saying it was perfectly fine until she met Travis Alexander. Which is another way of saying, their relationship was fine until Jodi Arias dumped him for Travis Alexander.
Darryl said that Jodi was a responsible person who had paid her share of the bills, made the mortgage payment with him every month, until she met Travis and then she no longer paid any of the bills. He said that when he tried to talk to her about her paying her share of the bills and the fact that the house, that they had purchased together, was about to be foreclosed on, she got angry with him because he was thinking “negatively.”
He said she was engaging in some type of magical thinking and she told him if he would stop talking about the money she owed and the debt that they were in, everything would be just fine. She said the problem was talking about it and he said she got mad at him every time they did. After meeting Travis she also told him that she would no longer be having sex with him because she now felt, as a converting Mormon, that premarital sex was a sin and she was saving herself for a good Mormon man.
If you remember in Jodi’s courtroom testimony, she testified to the fact that she did not know that premarital sex was wrong in the Mormon faith. Prosecutor Martinez then asked her if she had read the book of Mormon and she responded, yes but it was unclear. He also ask her if she could’ve asked someone else in the church for clarification. She said yes but that did not occur to her at that time.
It didn’t occur to her because she already knew, from her earliest days speaking to the Mormon missionaries, that premarital sex was a sin in the Mormon faith. There is no doubt about that because Darryl states it in his interview. Once again, we have further proof of Jodi’s lying, on the witness stand, and her attempt to deceive the jury and the public.
Darryl also said that during the long period of their relationship, that they had only talked about marriage a few times and that Jodi was not ready or wanting of marriage. It simply was not an issue.
Jodi had previously testified that she broke up with Darryl, not because she was having an affair with Travis but because Darryl did not want marriage and children. That’s why she was forced to break up with Darryl. More lies from the great deceiver.
Now the most interesting thing that Darryl had to say, was there were two Jodi’s. The one he knew who was perfectly normal and the new twisted, Prepaid Legal, Mormon, Jodi. You can watch his interview to get more specifics. Remember he said that the new Jodi was unrecognizable to him.
This is where it all gets interesting because, in his interview, he talks about the day when Jodi came down to borrow the two gas cans from him before killing Travis. Now the Jodi that came down to borrow those two gas cans from him was the latest incarnation of Jodi. That was the Jodi that had moved to Mesa, Arizona, had the relationship with Travis, officially broke up with him and then continued a very long ongoing sexual relationship with him, one that ended just minutes before she murdered him.
She had already had the most involvement with Prepaid Legal that she would ever have at any point in time. In other words this was the unrecognizable Jodi. The Jodi that he claims needs help to recover from the damage done by Prepaid Legal, Travis Alexander and the Mormon faith. Because remember he said before these things happened, she was perfectly normal and was the Jodi Arias he knew, the real Jodi Arias.
So years after having become a new person and having turned into a completely unrecognizable, corrupt human being, Jodi went down to borrow two gas cans and have breakfast with Darryl and his son.
The interviewer asked Darryl “how did Jodi seem to you?” He responded, “she was completely normal. She was happy. She seemed perfectly fine.”
I believe him. Jodi did appear “perfectly” normal. I’m sure she was happy. I’m sure she said all the right things and did all the right things.
Now does anyone see the problem with what he has reported to us? The problem is he said the new Jodi was totally unrecognizable to him. However, it was the “new” Jodi that came to him that day for the gas cans and to have breakfast. It was the “new” Jodi, yet he describes her as being perfectly normal, the same “old” Jodi that he’s always known.
Darryl might be a bright guy but I’ll bet that he has never had to worry about reaching into his pencil box and stabbing himself in the fingers.
On the day that they had breakfast together Jodi was, according to Darryl, the same normal happy Jodi. Yet he says, that Jodi had been corrupted by her experiences, after having left him, and had turned into a completely new human being. He said he believed the “old” Jodi was buried inside the “new” Jodi and that the “new” Jodi was completely different and unrecognizable to him.
So why on that day, the day she borrowed the gas cans, did he see her as the “old” normal, happy Jodi? Because Jodi had manipulated him. Not just that day but for the entire time that she had known him. The “old” Jodi that he knew, was no more real than the “new” Jodi that was unrecognizable to him. The “new” Jodi was an act, just as the “old” Jodi was an act. And the “old” Jodi could return any time Jodi wanted her to. Or at least the illusion, the “old” Jodi illusion, could be projected by Jodi any time she wanted.
Last night Jodi gave at least three long interviews, to at least three different networks. Do you know that she demanded that the court system provide her makeup for those interviews? Do you also know that the court did give her that make up?
Jodi Arias deceived Darryl Brewer. He thought the Jodi Arias he knew was the “real” Jodi Arias. There is no “real” Jodi Arias. She is whatever persona that she decides to project and she projects whatever persona that will best benefit her, with each person that she meets.
Darryl Brewer went on to say that he trusted Jodi Arias with his most valued possession, his son. The only reason that Darryl and his son are alive today, is because it was not beneficial for Jodi Arias to kill them. If it had been, they’d be just as dead as Travis.
