Observer, I don't necessarily think the amount of hours means it is hung. There are many trials that the jurors have taken many many hours and come back with a firm decision. I believe jurors do need to discuss all aspects if they want to do a good thorough job. I am hoping that this jury is really looking at evidence and discussing and yes, trying to change a mind or two, maybe. Isn't that what they are supposed to do? Unlike the first trial. I say we just have to play the waiting game. I know I won't accomplish much this week so I just have to accept that. It's the price I pay for my inability to stop focusing on this trial this week. I am pretty sure that I have known of trials that a jury took a couple of weeks or even more to reach a verdict.
I will try to be patient. And I am so glad that others are discussing this trial on this site!!! Thanks, people. I am so glad to be able to say things and read others' thoughts.
