Jodi Arias might have preyed on Travis Alexander because as a sociopath she knew he took in strays.
In an article in the Huffington Post “Have You Ever Been Duped by a Sociopath?,” Jennifer Delaney says  Sociopaths:
Seeks out Rescuers, Vulnerable, Gullible, Overly Loyal, and Dysfunctional People.
Travis Alexander fits that category because he was abused and neglected by drug addicts until his grandmother saved him at eight years old so he rescued people who were down and out and believed there was good in everybody. He loved to help people and would buy food for the homeless, occassionally take a homeless guy to his home so he could take a shower, loan him a suit and help them get a job or allow friends to stay in his house free. He allowed Arias to store her junk in his garage, loaned her his car and money and paid her to clean his house even though he was not happy she moved to Mesa.
The Truth Is Their Kryptonite: They will slander and assassinate the character of anyone who sees them for who they are, tries to tell the truth, or calls them out on lies. The truth is direct threat to their way of life.
Arias murdered Travis Alexander a week after he wrote her text messages calling her out on her lies. She began slandering Alexander as soon as she was arrested and wrote the letter to his family saying he was cocky and hinted he’d abused her. Then when his family refused her plea deal, she began an all out assination of his character in the courtroom.
Like an Evil Energizer Bunny: They will exhaust and drain you emotionally. If you find yourself constantly trying to figure out "What to do about Fred/Jane?" They are probably a predator.
As soon as she met Travis Alexander, Jodi Arias started her campaign to become Mrs. Travis Alexander. She joined the LDS church and asked him to baptize her. She showed up at PPL functions and told other women to leave him alone, that he belonged to her. She told Chris and Sky Hughes that she had a vision that she was going to marry him. She showed up uninvited at a Christmas Party at his house and announced she was his girlfriend when he was dating another woman. She moved to Mesa after he broke up with her and crawled through his doggy door, peeped through his windows, followed him on dates, slashed his and his girlfriend’s tires, sent threatening emails to women he emailed and dated. He was so fed up with her he texted her that she was a sociopath and the worst thing that happened to him
Charming, But Only for a While: They're wonderful at first. But soon, you notice a creepy stare, and they say chilling things that lack empathy towards animals, the elderly or children. The normal give and take in a conversation is absent. They just keep talking and might even throw in a veiled threat to intimidate.
Chris and Sky Hughes thought Jodi was nice and sweet and a wonderful caring person until she started clinging to Travis, licking his neck in front of the Hughes children, evesdropping on a private conversation with Travis, then stared at them like a psycho and made them fear she may kill them as they sleep and banned them from her home and then she showed up at the Hughes home uninvited and asked why they didn’t like her and when Sky told them she just stared at her and then went into the kitchen and stared at her friend Holly who was cooking mac and cheese for the children.
Pity, Pity, and More Pity: Exaggerate illness, money woes, how badly they have been treated. They need you to feel sorry for them so you will do things for them. According to Martha Stout *author of the Sociopath Next Door,”) the pity play is the telltale sign of a sociopath.
Jodi Arias has played the victim since she murdered Travis Alexander. Poor little Jodi nothing is her fault. Bobby Juarez tried to strangle her. Matthew McCartney cheated on her. Travis Alexander used her sexually, cheated on her, kicked her in the ribs, broke her finger, bodyslammed her, choked her out, tried to kill her and she “accidentally” shot him and stabbed him 29 times while trying to save her own life. Flores is the mean old cop who tricked her into saying the shot came first. Martinez is the Mean Prosecutor who lied and hid evidence to get her wrongfully convicted. The jurors betrayed her. Nurmi hurt her feelings and didn’t listen to her. Boo Hoo Hoo.
Manipulates You Into Letting Them Back Into Your Life After They Have Done Terrible Things.
Even after she got into his phone and accused him of cheating and he broke up with her, when she moved to Mesa, he allowed her to store her stuff in his garage, hired her as a maid, loaned her his BMW and money. Even after she slashed his and Lisa’s tires, broke into his social media accounts and bank accounts, he still talked to her on the phone and allowed her in his home the day she murdered him.
Mirrors Your Values
Arias joined the LDS Church and pretended to be interested in marriage and children and helping others.
Constant Lies and Exaggeration: Big and small, to cover something up or change perception. Anything to make themselves look good.
Arias lied from the beginning of her relationship with Travis and is still lying seven years after she murdered him in cold blood in his own bathroom.

Luna, I was not offended at all. If I were I would have to assume that you all here are nasty mean people. I have learned never to assume...I wonder if the jury are thinking. Where are the midigators? The defense rested and NO ONE spoke on her behalf. Right.??? It seemed that all they did was trash travis. I hope they see that. Wow. !! I would never hire either one of the defense team to fight as much as a speeding ticket. ...thanks again for all the great information.!
Hi Justjrep - I neglected to add my welcome to this forum.
I believe that the jury has front and centre in their minds the lack of any mitigation witnesses coming forward with the exception of the 2 affidavits.
And, they are fully aware that at least one of the affidavits was filled with lies as proven by the State.
As I suspected, the 14 or so witnesses the defense (Arias) said they had was bogus. They may have had them on the list but had absolutely no intention of ever calling them. They were useful for the motion to testify in secret that they filed and subsequently LOST! That was their sole purpose in this trial.
Nurmi and Willmott were appointed to this case and could not get off of it despite the repeated efforts to do so AND the 12 page letter Arias sent to have Nurmi fired. They knew full well from the very beginning that Arias was guilty of the charges brought against her and by the time this trial began, bought into the defense that Arias wanted presented. They are a disgrace to their profession in the defense that they mounted by when it is coming from a manipulative, lying defendant, what can be expected?
Lunarscope,
I believe that it was you that commented that money was a factor in Arias slaughtering Travis.
I think this is very valid. Couple it with the abject rejection she got from Travis and it explains her murderous deed.
