I agree Lunarscope -
Sheriff Joe should be held to accountability for his favouritism to Arias.
I agree that she was not held to solitary and he even allowed televised interviews.
It was his 15 min. of fame in this case.
Too bad for him that his next 15 min of fame are of his own doing and he will pay a heavy price for being so arrogant that he felt he was above the very law he was supposed to be upholding.
Yes, the restrictions this time are in place and being enforced and that is why we have heard nothing from this evil woman.
And yes, she will adapt - over some time - to prison life with its rules and regulations - what other choice does she have?
But she will never adapt to getting along with the other female inmates.
She has never gotten along with other females during her life and has absolutely no skills in this area.
She will learn that they will take no shit from her and can be just as manipulative and nasty as she is.
But adapt - no - she will simply survive.

Skank believes herself to be a "God", above the law... and feels entitled to brutally slaughter those who do not please her. She savagely butchered Travis Alexander to death, and she has threatened the life of the prosecutor, Juan Martinez, i.e. to have him murdered if she gets the Death Penalty.
The "Purple Plum" incident was revealed during Juan Martinez's direct examination of Dr. Janeen DeMarte, yesterday, and it exposed to this jury that Jodi Arias is not the innocent victim of men. The stereotypical myth that the "male" is always the sexual predator, and that the "female" is always the victim who recoils in horror but then reluctantly gives into male domination was exploded to smitherings in the courtroom by Juan Martinez and Dr. DeMarte. That age-old myth certainly does not apply in Jodi Arias' case. In the aftermath of having gutted her victim, Travis Alexander, to death, nearly decapitating him, and then shooting him in the head, this is what she did:--

Jodi Arias was demeaning towards her family members too, and her cousin Aimee described her as acting like a "bitch", always correcting everybody else's grammar, and her grandparents revealed that the killer complained that she did not want "anyone ruling her life". ... That describes the kind of self-absorbed, cry-baby complaints that I can picture Jodi Arias howling during one of her many temper-tantrums:-- "I won't let anybody rule my life!"... I think it's unclear as to how much longer that JA & Co. will "need" to reinforce what it began in May 2013! The AZ Media don't both to ask why this sentencing phase has been dragged on for so long! "It's not Juan Martinez, Stupid!" The State's prosecutor has taken less than a quarter of the time that this unethical defense team have squandered thanks to an incompetent, biased, and corrupt judge, Judge Sherry Stephens (JSS), who has allowed JA & Co. to defraud the Court with "hired gun" charlatans posing as "experts" but who have filibustered with lie after lie after lie; fraudulent "affidavits" concocted by the convicted murderer & her criminal cohorts; and, worst of all a fabricated "Porn-Gate" created to delay the trial & waste time; trash the victim, Travis Alexander; and, malign the prosecutor with perjurious allegations.
"Porn-Gate" never should have been allowed in, in the first place. Like the fake, forged pedophile letters manufactured by JA to frame Travis Alexander for non-existent pedophilia:-- it was FRAUD. JA & Co.'s entire bogus defense case is retrying the original guilt phase of the trial, in violation of the law... and, they are retrying it by defrauding the Court & the Jury. There is no evidence that Travis Alexander was even remotely interested in "porn"; and, no evidence that the State "mishandled" evidence. By contrast, there is much evidence that JA & Co. have done so-- and imo, Jodi Arias, her PI Dorian Bond, Bryan Neumeister, and, Maria "Smuggler" De La Rosa should be investigated for having concocted this dishonest scheme. Jodi Arias enjoys an "indigent" classification, although she is permitted to swindle the AZ taxpayers, all because JSS has delayed the re-trial over and over and over again for this convicted murderer!
A more experienced judge would have kept "Porn-Gate" out, in the first place... for it has been the trigger for so many delays & dishonest trashing of the victim and the prosecutor. Juan Martinez must fight this... but, what JA & Co. really want is to get to the "Omnibus Hearing" so that the DP will be taken "off-the-table", although the "Omnibus Hearing" is a pretrial hearing-- and, JA is not in any kind of "pretrial" status. Of course, by then, it may become a moot issue, because over time, jurors may drop off like flies. I think that JA & Co. are throwing stuff at Juan Martinez, which requires that Det. Smith has to try to perform more research in order to explain "Porn-Gate" fully... They have sent him on a "Wild Goose Chase", to blame Juan Martinez for the delays.
JSS and JA & Co. need to be held accountable by the public; and, all of the over 120 sealed documents; the many secret, sealed hearings, and the myriad illegal "ex-parte" meetings which triggered this undue deference by JSS towards the convicted murderer & her unethical defense team, all should be made public... and then, you will find out why this farcical, rigged re-trial has cost the AZ taxpayers so much of their hard-earned dollars!!!

I think that this motion to ask that Det. Smith's testimony be precluded has been Nurmi's real target, and that his motion filed yesterday asking to preclude Dr. DeMarte's testimony, which he knew that JSS had to reject, was a diversionary tactic. Det. Smith can show that Neumeister lied, and that "Porn-Gate" was a fraud, imo... and, when that is "blown out of the water"-- JA & Co.'s fraudulent defense crumbles into dust, and also, Jodi Arias will have no appellate case whatsoever.
Juan Martinez has every right ot present evidence to defend the malicious allegations made against Travis Alexander because there is no evidence that he watched "porn" (of course, even if he did, so what?), and moreover, no evidence whatsoever that the State "mishandled" or "tampered" with evidence. Nurmi does not want the truth exposed to the jury.
In my opinion, JSS is incompetent, biased, and corrupt... She has violated the US Constitution by shrouding the trial proceedings in an unconstitutional cloak of secrecy, until the AZ Court of Appeals overturned her unlawful ruling, in what highly respected constitutional attorneys have considered to be an outlandish decision in letting a convicted butcher testify in secret. There are no "National Security" issues at stake in this trial... and, Jodi Arias has no right to demand undue deference over and above that which is defined by law and awarded to other convicted murderers.
Moreover, JSS has trampled asunder the AZ Victims' Bill of Rights over the past year-and-seven months, by entertaining many (not just one or two) "ex-parte" meetings with JA & Co., and excluding the prosecutor, Juan Martinez, and the Alexanders, who have a right to be present when discussing anything material affecting the tria itselfl. JSS's inappropriate, and possibly illegal "ex-parte" meetings resulted in delay after delay after delay, and unconstitutional secrecy for over a year, which is in violation of the AZ Judicial Code of Conduct, requiring prompt action in adjudicating over trial issues. Over 120 documents have been sealed; many hearings have been sealed; and, the "ex-parte" meetings have been secret. This represents a violation of the precious principles of transparency in criminal trials which is upheld by the US Supreme Court in their protection of the US Constitutional rights of the victims, and the public, as well as of the defendant.
"Porn-Gate" is fraudulent, in my opinion. And it is the judge's role to act as the gatekeeper to ensure that evidence presented into the Court, during a penalty phase, is proven to be true and properly vetted. Instead, JA & Co. have not argued a "mitigation case"-- but, they are re-trying their guilt phase, because, imo, JSS does not want the convicted murderer to get the DP. JSS simply has allowed JA & Co. to run-amok over the past year-and-seven-months, since the hung jury, in May 2013. This is not right... it's unethical.. and yes, in my opinion it is corrupt. Corrupt because a judge has an obligation to balance the rights of the defendants with the rights of the victims. JSS has failed miserably to do so... and, to-date she has shown an extraodinary bias towards the convicted murderer & her unethical defense team, which is unacceptable, imo. And, her incompetence in managing the courtroom is on-show each and every day. Corruption is derived from focusing on the demands of one side over the other. For this, JSS should be held accountable, imo.

In my opinion, the undue deference that JSS has granted to Jodi Arias is corrupt. This not not a case whereby one can chalk-up all of the many, many benefits & special favors that JSS has awarded to the convicted murderer, Jodi Arias, over the course of the past year-and-seven months, since the hung jury, in May 2013, to "mistakes". JA & Co. call Skank's brutal slaughter of Travis Alexander a "mistake" too. The abuse of the word "mistake" undermines the gravity of the infringement of the rights of the victims.
The over 120 sealed documents; the transcripts from the many sealed hearings; and, the transcripts from the myraid "ex-parte" meetings between JSS and JA & Co. need to be made public; and furthermore, imo, the AZ Commission on Judicial Conduct ought to conduct a thorough investigation into the violations of the law committed by JSS in this case in order to ascertain whether or not that she should be asked to resign. No judge in this country is above the rule of law. Not JSS of the AZ Maricopa County Superior Court, who is a publically-elected official.

The vast superiority of Juan Martinez's legal acumen & his integrity versus the clumsiness &, dishonest filibustering by Willmott & Nurmi could not be more transparent. Any other judge would have shut Willmott & Nurmi down years ago, and made them behave like respectable advocates, instead of the unscrupulous bottom-feeders which they have proven to be. Edie Morse Somebody PMed me that JSS held back some details about the "Purple Plum" incident from being exposed by Juan Martinez & Dr. DeMarte yesterday. From her info, she indicates that the restaurant owner was about to fire Skank for giving Blow-Jobs (and also, possibly soliciting for sex in exchange for cash) to other employees & customers... (during working hours?)... but, that Skank quit before she was fired, and that's when she bought her weapons (gun & knives); packed her car; and, was planning to flee to Mexico. She said that JSS likes to give "middle-of-the-road" rulings so that each side gets "something". But that's NOT justice! In a criminal trial, the Truth, the Whole Truth, and Nothing but the Truth is supposed to be revealed... JSS is desperate to be "liked"!!!
P.S. By the way, who is "Edgar" (the man that Skank was "kissing" in the "Purple Plum")? How old was "Edgar"? There is more to the story than JSS allowed to be told in the courtroom.

JSS would not permit anything to do with the "Purple Plum" incident to be exposed to the last jury. Juan Martinez was able to get "bits-and-bots" out this time around, and it's the first that we've all learnt about Skank's "kissing" of this "Edgar" at the "Purple Plum"...

Juan Martinez was ordered by JSS to keep it restricted; just as she ordered Deanna Reid not to reveal that Travis Alexander left her his beloved Napoleon, and Abe Abdelhadi who was not allowed to reveal that the "Mormon" Jodi Arias told him that she had "magic" in her panties.
JA & Co. have dredged the bottom-of-the-sewers to come up with perjurious witnesses; false "affidavits"; and, fabricated "evident" (e.g. "Porn-Gate"), and let's face facts:-- Neither Nurmi, nor Willmott have any professional ethics whatosever. I don't think that they take oaths seriously in AZ... for JSS too is allowing them to run-amok. Some bloggers are already saying that it could be that the "mental illness" defense (Borderline Personality Disorder) is the mitigating factor that takes the DP "off-the-table" for the jurors-- but, everyone who commits a 1st degree premeditated murder has a "screw loose"-- and ergo, hopefully Juan Martinez will be able to argue that BPD is not debilitating, and that she made a choice, and must be held accountable.
Jodi Arias did not suffer from "mental insanity", which would have rendered her ineligible for the DP, because by law, a person suffering from schizophrenia, for example, does not know what they are doing. By contrast, Skank knew exactly what she was doing when the psycho-butcher brutally slaughtered Travis Alexander.

Interesting that Nurmi may be hoisted by his own petard. Initially, JA & Co. argued that Skank was "normal" until after she met Travis Alexander, and that she changed for the worse, due to the trauma that they dishonestly claim that he inflicted upon her. All lies... Now, Nurmi wants to claim that Skank suffered abuse as a child, making her "mentally ill"... due to the horrendous way that she was mistreated as a child... All lies too, imo.

Uh-huh. Yeah right. To be frank, I think that people assume that it's easy to get somebody help; but has anybody checked the costs of obtaining psychological help for a child? It's hellishly expensive. Working parents aren't always able to get help; and there are no school reports to show that teachers or counsellors advised Skank's parents to obtain help.
Subsequently, once a young person leaves home, then what's a parent supposed to do? They can't jump in their car and kidnap her, for goodness sakes! Skank left home at the age of 16 or 17 years old. Her parents could not bind-and-gag her and force her to seek treatment. Skank is the kind of psycho-sado-narcissist who would have told then to "Go To Hell! You're Not Going To Control My Life!" if her parents had suggested to her that she seek help.
That's really disingenuously glib to say that somebody else should have sought help for Skank. Perhaps, Skank should have sought help for Skank-- except she didn't because she considers herself to be smarter than Einstein; more talented than Vincent Van Gogh; and, a "Goddess"! I didn't know that "Goddesses" accepted help from others!!!

Of course, you've all heard of the Nazi doctor, Dr. Josef Mengele, called "The Angel Of Death" for his cruelty & gruesome experiments upon prisoners at the Auschwitz Death Camp. Also, there was another such War Criminal named "Aribert Ferdinand Heim, a Nazi fugitive and concentration camp doctor, [whose search] has officially come to a close, the German authorities said Friday, after they determined that the man known as Dr. Death for his unnecessary operations had died in Egypt in 1992."
Is this what Nurmi has finally stooped to? The lowest of the low. Defaming this bright, professional, and honest psychologist, Dr. Janeen DeMarte, by attempting to ruin her, with such a malicious appellation in recollection of a Nazi War Criminal. Others have been called "Dr. Death", since then, including Jack Kevorkian, who assisted terminally ill patients to end their lives. Also, Walter Birkby, a highly respected forensic anthropologist who "testified in some of the most high-profile homicide cases in Pima County and was in demand in other jurisdictions as well" was affectionately referred to as "Dr. Death".
If confronted, Nurmi would probably say that he was thinking of Mr. Birkby, and not Dr. Heim... but still... imo, Nurmi sunk to a new low today, and I hope that the jurors were not impressed with his attempt to malign Dr. Janeen DeMarte. Shame on Kirk Nurmi.. and, shame on JSS for not admonishing him for name-calling, using such highly-charged, derogatory name.

Edie Morse Intellectual disability is differentiated by the Courts from mental illness. The State's psychologist, Dr. Janeen DeMarte, diagnosed Skank with Borderline Personalithy Disorder (BPD), which is designated as a serious "mental illness", according to the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH).
Jodi Arias has Bordeline Personality Disorder (BPD) which is a "mental illness"-- but which is not equivalent to "mental insanity". During the initial guilt phase of the trial, from January - May 2013, JA & Co. fought against Dr. DeMarte's diagnosis of BPD... but, since that time they decide to "turn the tables" and to adopt it as a "mitigating factor", which JSS allowed them to do, because "mental illness" can be taken into account by the jury when rendering her sentence of the Death Penalty or Life; unlike her other fraudulent mitigating factors, which are without corroboration, and ergo, JSS should not have permitted, by law.
However, "mental illness" does not preclude a convicted murderer from being given the DP. In fact, most cold-blooded killers have a "screw loose". Therefore, that Skank has a "mental illness" does not mean that she does not deserve the DP. Ted Bundy, Jeffrey Dahmer, Charles Manson, etc., all had some kind of "mental illness" too. "Mental illness" is not the same, from a legal standpoint, as "mental insanity", which a person does not know what they are doing.
Skank knew exactly what she was doing when she premeditated her brutal slaughter of Travis Alexander; when she butchered him to death & slit his throat, and shot him in the head; and, when she ran to sex Ryan Burns within hours of her savage murder. Skank worked; she sexed men; she travelled; etc. ... In other words, she was not incapacitated or incapable of knowing right from wrong.. i.e. she was very capable of making decisions and she clearly understood right from wrong. She simply chose to do wrong.
When a person suffers from "mental insanity", e.g. schizophrenia, then they do not know right from wrong, and they do not know what they are doing. Skank is not "mentally insane", from a legal perspective, nor from a psychological standpoint either. Therefore, Juan Martinez will be able to explain why she deserves the Death Penalty:-- i.e. that she is a remorseless killer who had a choice, but did not have any respect for the life of her victim, and furthermore, that society has the right to impose the maximum penalty upon her due to the cruelty of her murder.
However, saying all that, the fault lie not with "mental illness"-- but instead, with a judge, JSS, who is incompetent, biased, and corrupt, imo, and who has rigged the sentencing phase in order for Skank to avoid the DP. JSS has allowed JA & Co. to run-amok, whilst hamstringing Juan Martinez. JA & Co. will drag out their cross-examination of Dr. Janeen DeMarte, in order to trash her, although decent judges do not allow filibustering because it is unethical & disruptive, and instead, comptent judges order the attorney to move on when they have made their point. Juan Martinez warned JSS that she was allowing JA & Co. to retry the guilt phase (which is illegal, by the way), whilst simultaneously restricting him to a mitigation rules.
The double-standard here is appalling and unacceptable, imo. JA & Co. have not been restricted to a mitigation case, as per the law:-- but instead have been permitted to violate the law at every turn with trashing of the victim; fabricating a bogus "Porn Gate" to cast suspicion upon the State's Prosecutor, Juan Martinez; manufactuing false "affidavits"; illegally allowing the Skank to testify in "secret" in violation of the US Constitution; and, attaching herself to the "Omnibus Hearing".
Thankfully, Juan Martinez is trying to get as much on the trial record, for the sake of future appeals, but this judge's bias towards the convicted murderer makes a mockery of our justice system.

Edie Morse Back in mid-December 2014, Jeff Gold posed an interesting question when he asked:-- "Is Jodi Arias a "human"? That's a profound question that he poses because Jodi Arias is a "homo sapien", by definition. She is not humane, however. Is she "human"? What does it mean to be "human"? Is every individual who would be classified as a "homo sapien" considered to be "human"? Or, would your definition of "human" include qualities that would require being civilized too? Ted Bundy was a "human", if "human" means a "homo sapien". So was Jeffrey Dahmer. And, Charles Manson too.
The US Supreme Court has upheld the right of states to decide whether or not to sentence a citizen (i.e. a "human") to the DP. Ergo, imo, it is necessary to define what qualities that a "human" has which would render them qualified to be sentenced to the DP or to obtain mercy. According to AZ law, the DP may be found by a jury, in the event that the premeditated murder was found to include one or more aggravating factors. In this case, the aggravating factor of "cruelty" was found by the last jury, because the victim suffered agony & torment. By law, JA is eligible for the DP. But, should a jury find for the maximum penalty? What qualities would a human being need to possess to consider them to be worth sparing? Here are my thoughts:--
1.) No longer a danger to others - Jodi Arias has failed to demonstrate this quality. After she brutally slaughtered Travis Alexander, and before she was arrested, she had told her father that she was going to flee. The police found amongst her personal affects, in her car, a gun & knives. She has gotten into fights with at least one other inmate, while in Estrella jail, and is considered to be a flight risk. She has threatened the life of the prosecutor, Juan Martinez, in the event that she gets the DP. She represents a danger to those who do not pander to her whims, should she be released, and in my opinion, she would even do harm to weaker, more vulnerable inmates in Perryville prison, if and when she is ever allowed into the general prison population;
2.) Mercy to others - Jodi Arias tortured & abused animals. She beat her own brother's head with a baseball bat. She kicked her own mother. She has name-called her own sister derogatory terms, including "dumb" and "stupid". She has taunted the Alexander family by using their brother's name as a tool to sell her worthless junk-"art". She has maligned the victim with malicious lies. She has insulted the prosecutor and the police. She is vicious when she does not get her way. With the victim, Travis Alexander, she would not take "No" for an answer and leave him alone, and when she started stabbing him on June 4th, 2008, she did not stop, at any time, although he was in agony & suffering. She has no quality of mercy whatsoever. No one has ever come forward to claim that she was kind or helped anybody in need, ever; .
3.) Respect for the law & for the rights of other people - Jodi Arias has no respect for any regulations which would keep her from doing what she wants, when she wants, and without reference to the harm that she inflicts upon other human beings. We are a country that has a "love-hate" relationship with the law. We admire "outlaws" who fight against unjust laws. Murder, however, is not an unjust law:-- neither is stalking; theft; harrassment; hacking into another person's social media and/or bank account; etc. Yet, when a psychopath like Jodi Arias considers that her violations of laws makes her a "hero", because she claims that she must follow her own "voice" (which even recently, she said in a "tweet" on Twitter:-- "Sometimes, you have to break the rules around you in order to keep the rules within you"... She hasn't learnt a thing!), this demonstrates that she respects no boundaries. She has no respect for the rights of others. No civilized society can exist without laws to regulation human interaction. Jodi Arias does not accept any regulation upon her behaviour, and as such, she wantonly destroyed the life of another human being, Travis Alexander. In our society, murder is a crime-- otherwise, the strong could slaughter the weak, with impunity, in order to achieve their nefarious aims:-- e.g. steal their wealth; revenge for being rejected; and/or any other selfish purpose, that suits their whims.
There are other human qualities too, that we could establish, which would be necessary to deem a person worthy of saving or not. Mitigating factors, under the law, include age, mental illness, parental sexual abuse, etc. -- but none of these apply to JA. At the age of 18 years old, men & women in this country are sent to die in war. She was 27 years old, which is well beyond the age of knowing right from wrong:-- and, moreover, the brain is fully developed by that age. She was not mentally ill, in that she was able to work as a waitress, travel; live with numerous men; etc.-- Jodi Arias was not mentally incapacitated from making decisions. She just made disastrous decisions, and she must be held accountable for her decisions which are harmful to other people, including the worst crime that a person can inflict upon another:-- exterminating them. Jodi Arias' parents have not been shown to have sexually molested her:-- i.e. there are no police reports, no school reports, no medical reports, no neighbors or family corroboration, etc. Without some semblance of proof, however small, such allegations are not truthful; they are simply self-serving.
In other words, Jodi Arias has shown no "human" qualities that would render her worth saving, imo. In fact, she is as scary and destructive as was Ted Bundy, and furthermore, she would have become a serial-killer, imo, because she is so very arrogant in her self-aggrandizement that she thought that "No Jury Will Convict Me". She told Travis Alexander on her illegally-recorded blackmail "sex-tape" that she loved it when he treated her like a Goddess. Recall Ted Bundy's words:-- “Murder is not about lust and it's not about violence. It's about possession. When you feel the last breath of life coming out of the woman, you look into her eyes. I read your recent post and decided to go to bed and ponder it before I made any comment.
I have read many posts by Edie Morse and generally I feel she has a sound mind and makes good points.
IMO and it is my personal opinion, I give diminished credit to all of those who, in their comments, refer to Arias as "skank, whore, slut, bitch, stabby, it" and so many more titles.
It speaks to the level of credibility of the poster when they must use derogatory names for the defendant who, like it or not, has a name. These names do not infer, to me, that what is behind the posts is nothing more than simply anger, frustration and what is being said is from a purely emotional standpoint.
I do not use Arias' full name, nor have I throughout my many postings but I at least use the name given to her. Calling someone names does not add anything to the discussion.
Regarding the "Purple Plum" info given........
ALL of it is filled with facts that we and the court are aware of.
There is nothing new in any of this.
It is a good synopsis of Arias and her lack of "work ethics" , her desire for men to fulfill her dreams, her perception of her own self-importance and that there are no boundaries for her as she lives her life.

I hold to my position that Judge Stephens is not a stupid woman and has been very successful in her career as a presiding judge.
I hold to my position that had any incompetence, improprieties, bias and/or corruption been found to be affecting an eventual outcome of this case, JSS would have been sanctioned and even possibly removed from the case.
Had any of this been brought forward by members of the court or her superiors AND NOT JUST THE GENERAL PUBLIC, she would never have been assigned to continue with the 2nd trial as the presiding judge.
Obviously, although filled with questionable actions on the part of JSS (I do not dispute that), NO ONE felt that a fair trial was not being realized.
Sherry did her job and because it was not what the public felt she should do or not do, she is the person to blame for the eventual outcome.
I hold to my position that this media coverage is the work of Arias herself and agree with the following by David Bodney...

I also hold to my position that blame should be given to the very person WHO IS to blame - Jodi Ann Arias!
It should also be directed at the laws of Maricpa County!
She and her defense team made a mockery of the justice system by using the very laws in place.
Arias directed her defense team to use every loop-hole in the laws to put on her defense and to delay proceedings along with a horrible try at decimation of the victim,his family and even hers.
The judge ruled accordingly and IMO knew that her rulings would upset many but in the end would SINK Arias. AND IT DID!
It was the two juries who rendered the verdicts - not the judge.

I agree 100% about the name calling' it is juvenile, I also post respecting names = Jodi, JII and MDLR, I will note that I myself suffer from lack of name recall' in my life.
I will give reporters some allowance for disrespect of JSS as it relates to aggravation, the tweeting in a segregated room was outside the normal (some were subjected to lottery seating) and trial delays had to disrupt their work schedules, I am just saying that JSS created a worst circus attempting to halt a circus trial, the press have every right to report for the people America justice was stifled, JDT disagreed with me at first mistrial' that the retrial would be a massive circus' if their was to be secrecy, Hands down the press attacked, I don't blame their mindset but aggravation creates extremes, MJ tried that game of trying to one-up the press and that created unprecedented misrepresentation, we only hear that a Judge will preside tomorrow, JSS namely has been unmentioned, this was a trial of bribery and blackmail, due to Jodi letter that wanted 2nd degree or destroying Travis's legacy and church, that ploy didn't work but headline readers believe what the press reports.
JSS allowed slaughter of a corps with no factual arguments for defense' allowing any defense nonsense argument time, JSS experience relates to defense experts experience' people become lackadaisical, she was wrong in so many ways all because Jodi was allowed to get in front of the camera, pretrial and repeated.
I don't think JSS has a career to protect' so if she decides wrong tomorrow their will be no reproaches.
On the Purple Plum Edgar is said to be a minor' if true we will soon learn, Jodi was claiming little boy and that was evidence sealed, if Purple Plum facts were exposed then Jodi would have been shown to be no less than a tramp, I believe that was relevant, and Jury twice undecided is not a win in My or the Alexander families eyes, the Judge compromised the case and First Jury foreman plus #17 fell for the deception, be it legal misunderstanding or illegal contempt, this was not a win in any way form or maker, Life in Prison is punishment denied, so what went wrong is the question' JSS was controlling' so JSS is in the spotlight, JII was all against JSS first trial, to a degree (separate reasons) So was I, at retrial most everyone turned against JSS including the higher court, I do Not accept JSS planned to have the higher court overrule to avoid appellate issues, Jodi had nothing real to defend so JSS allowed fabrications, I find total ineptitude.

Everything about the retrial was to only pertain to punishment phase, the retrial was secluded for favoritism, and the press resorted to name-calling because they we're excluded' even first trials video being of higher quality than retrials single still view with faulty audio, gives reason for bucking the system, we can't claim expected lack of quality audio/video was pre-expected, but when the press was excluded and knowing about so many private and onesided discussions with JSS, and Jurors talking about being in chambers with Jodi relates improprieties, Jodi should never have been at Jury selection' more so, since she wanted Jurors Facebook and Twitter addresses, plus hauling paperwork to and fro during transport, I don't understand defending JSS, their just a insurmountable amount of lack of decorum.

Welcome back' maybe Observer will grace us, I expect to take days away after Monday' I will be reading but feel I will need to keep my mouth closed for a few days, I expect Jodi in Prison until death, but fear I will be disappointed tomorrow, not with Judge to Jodi but with sanctions to others, Jodi will be silenced finally.
I just hope for the silence to be persistent. Jodi gets 1 free appeal to a panel of 3 Judges asking for a retrial' Then Arizona Supreme Court Appeal, that would be exactly what a DP free Arizona Supreme Court Appeal was about, USSC appeals then the unlikely finality, a Appellate Attorney would require a million dollar to review Nurmi's mountain of motions, and noone would want to defend fickle Jodi, she is done tomorrow 3 strikes 3'outs Ninth inning and the parking lots closing.

I know that many do not see this case as a WIN because Arias did not get the DP.
The win for me is that Arias will be gone for the rest of her natural life, behind steel and concrete, with people just like her and so many rules and regulations that she MUST follow forever!
She will not be a free woman ever again.
She will no longer be a threat to free citizens of society.
She has exhausted every legal trick and ploy that she could find. All that is left is a standard appeal for her which will undoubtedly be denied.

Reporters do not always report just the facts.
Their own biases and opinions often are written subliminally into their reports. They are adept at doing this to get to their readers. They know that sensationalism will get them the attention from their readers.
Of course the press has a right to report for the people and they did so in this case.
I do not believe that American Justice was stifled - there has never been a case like this where every minute detail has been torn apart by the media.
Because the DP was not given, everyone is up in arms and tearing apart every single thing that they FEEL were the reasons for not getting this verdict.
Again I say, the juries in this trial all knew who and what Arias was and is, but one cannot predict what a jury will do when they go to deliberations. What the public think they should do and what they ACTUALLY do are two separate issues. Just look at the Casey Anthony case and this one as well.

I am not wholeheartedly defending every action that JSS did in this case. She made mistakes. I acknowledge that.
But I can not get past the fact that NO ONE with the authority and not even the defense or state asked for her to be removed.
She followed the law as she knows it and successfully presided over a trial that saw Arias convicted as charged.
She allowed evidence that was not necessarily appropriate in the 2nd trial and she made critical decisions with regard to secret testimony, affidavits, and a closed courtroom.
Yes, the trial went on far too long and the suffering of the Alexander family was perpetuated.
But where were the official complaints against JSS? Why were none made?
You find it difficult to understand how someone can actually defend JSS - this is my main reason.
Yes, she made a decision that fired everyone up about constitutional rights and the 1st amendment when she closed the courtroom for Arias' testimony.
But did she break the law? NO.
Her decision was overturned and with it shut Arias down. If Arias can manipulate the current laws, then I see JSS using the laws to stop her and that is essentially what happened.
People did not like what JSS did but the end result was outstanding. Arias went mute.
The affidavits that were allowed were done with the law's support.
Did anyone believe them - no.
Did Martinez get to question these people - no.
Did Martinez object to them being entered into evidence - no. He actually supported them if it meant that the defense could bring forward mitigation information.
Martinez was confident that these affidavits would be seen for what they were - lies and they were proven to be so!

They did not get what they wanted.
Because of this, the circus is being extended as they are so angry and want someone to pay for what they did not get.
If the DP is the only justice that people see in this case, then they are very closed-minded in their thoughts.
Arias is about to be severely punished for what she did.
She should be.
Justice is about someone paying for their crime.
Arias was found guilty as charged and is about to spend the rest of her sorry life in Perryville with severe restrictions for a long time.
It is as it should be.
(I exclude the Alexander family in this because they have the very most right of anyone to want what they feel is justice for their brother.)
In my world, justice has been served in this case. I accept a sentence of LWOP.
It may not be the "eye for an eye" type of justice that so many wanted but justice comes in many forms.

I see trial as a loss' Travis loss of life' Jodi loss of livelihood, I expect tomorrow will have surprises, as far as JSS, MDLR, Nurmi and Willmott, hopefully Janet and JII plus a Juror or 2 if deserving.
I expect Nurmi anti-DP argument' and maybe Team Jodi supporters, Nancy Grace and Dr. Drew can interview defense with Keiter, the rest will be all Travis.
The Travis part need to address' Arizona partaking in bribe and blackmail that Jodi threatened if charged with Murder 1, the Courts allowed the Jodi threat to become reality and their was no proof provided.
I did not in any way want the DP for selfish reasons' I wanted a DP because and only because the Alexander family never dropped its punishment, I do not care about Jodi one iota, live in prison or DP, I have never desired revenge, I only support Travis as far as his legacy and the wishes of his family and family of friends, that excludes all Travis supporters who never met him, and with the Travis supporters who have never met him I do what I can for reform and revision fearing like possibilities, in other words a support of American Justice.
I believe Jodi to be dangerous in captivity, and her cage is insufficient, it will be perfect for a while, but what can Jodi offer fellow prisoners (if she survives' that is) Two things, money from her Team Jodi and lessons on how to circumvent the legal system, it is undeniable that Jodi knows how to use the law against itself and that's what fellow inmates want to learn about.
Jodi will be yesterdays news due to Perryville keeping her in Solitary, but that's for a limited timeframe, slowly Jodi will either convert that prison by adapt or die, theirs no middle ground, we will hear about Jodis death or troublemaking in a brief expanse of time, money to her cause is more than realised and the law has been lax for years, her supporters will find a way' the cause is not Jodi related is is anti-DP, anti-American and anti-American justice, always has been, Jodi has never been more than a tool.
I explained the presses raised aggravation factor, it was not a excuse, I was stating their disgust at being stifled resulted in nasty language and finger pointing at JSS, the press has never been fair, we must accept what's normal, what happened here was aggravation with excessive delays and closed hearings, the Jodi secret testimony was their fight, a fight won, but we barely got the actual minutes before trials conclusion, JSS was ordered to release the testimony before the New Year and she refused' Nurmi filed his motion on the last court day in 2014, if JSS had released Jodis secret testimony when ordered, I couldn't argue' she allowed Nurmi to appeal to the same court, but still didn't release the testimony until forced because Nurmi had no witnesses (never did) their were just so many irregularities that the press responded unkindly, JSS caused discontent.
Had the Authorities removed JSS would have been talking mistrial, retrial, money wasted, let alone that time and efforts matter.
A 2 Judges could have been seated for JSS being backupped, to have her to being forced to accept oversight, that's it, anything else would have ended the trial.
Their is Arizona not wanting every JSS case reviewed for appealable issues, so Arizona must both support JSS until Jodi judgement tomorrow, even if she was being in contempt of court order to release Jodi secret testimony in a timely manner and must prevent reoccurrence.
I don't think anyone believes' any motions filed by Martinez or Nurmi = law enforcement, can be known before trials conclusion' it just compromises.

I have no doubt they will get in contact with Jodi Arias and she WILL continue to sell things from prison! When and if she can sneak them out. I have to admit I was at least briefly stunned by the suicide of the man who had kidnapped and held those 3 young girls for over a decade. I did not expect him to do that. But, I highly suspect he did not want to stand trial. I doubt that Arias could ever bring herself to end her own life. She means too much to herself. She'll just continue trying to 'dupe' the system, the guards, the other inmates, or whoever she thinks she can pull one over on. Even in Perryville!
