I have HLN the TV but they aren't showing anything in Maricopa County yet. I thought it was to be at 8:30 mountain standard which is what I am. Has something happened?

Pacific time Arizona likes Pacific time, excepting Indian reservation area far North, less than 45 min, Nancy Grace is at courthouse, many channels are streaming, JMSP has a list of streamers.

I am so grateful the judge gave her life without possibility of release. I also have to say that yet one again Arias stuck the knife in and twisted it by coming out basically stating that she wanted to settle this case but that it was the family who made her go through these trials. She is so repulsive. And her mother isn't a truthful person either. Nobody prevented the mother or anybody from testifying.

Natural Life (LWOP) - fantastic!
Arias was defiant and on the offensive until the bitter end.
She attacked Travis and his family once again!
Interesting how she came out of her fog and remembers the knife at Travis' throat AND THAT HE WAS CONCIOUS- what a shock to the Alexander family!
Should have not expected anything less from her.
Supposition by some that she was not going to speak until she got furious with the Alexander family and Martinez's comments. Some believe it was impromptu and that Willmott tried to calm her down before she started to speak. No script at all - she was just enraged.
It was Willmott that got me going today.
She should be ashamed of herself as she tried to retry the case once again.
Her references to other cases were just absurd.
She referred to them as all being First Degree Murder cases but not once said they were also Premeditated and had Aggravating Factors of Extreme Cruelty.
She minimized this case and lumped it into others that gave possibility of release.
She minimized the anguish of the Alexander family by saying that all family members of a murder victim feel the same way.
She spoke of the "mob" on social media when in fact it was HER client who started it all and continued until finally restrictions were put in place.
She emphatically stated that they tried to settle numerous times and it was refused by the Alexander family and the State. It was their fault! Of course they wanted to settle - this was a death penalty case!

Koodos to the Judge. She made no bones about the fact that she agreed with the jury(s).
She was "no nonsense" today.
She overruled Willmott when she objected to what Martinez was saying.
She got right to the point with her reasons for her sentence and it was done!

I believe strongly that at least one of Arias' appeals will be ineffective counsel as she has never gotten along with Nurmi.
Anyway - off to Perryville she goes - gone - out of sight - forgotten!

Her mom couldn't even manage to even cry. Had that been a child of mine, I would have been a basket case. Oh, and now, years later, Arias finally admits he was alive when she slit his throat. In my opinion, she had to have straddled his back and the 9 stab wounds there to reach around and saw his throat. How could someone do that if the victim was facing them?
And defense wounds were PROVEN. He was not attacking her...he was trying to get away; trying to go on living. I am glad she got 'the rest of her natural life' in prison.
And Wilmott...all those 'cases' she used as examples and they were granted "Life with release", but...she failed to say some had pleaded GUILTY for that lesser sentence and some more were given that sentence by JURYS. The judge herself admitted the Mitigators did NOT outweigh the PROVEN AGRAVATOR, including premeditation and covering up what she had done. She reminded them all that this was MUCH MORE than a mere "2 minutes" from Arias life, 2 minutes when she 'made a mistake.' I could not believe Willmot was that desperate, to bring that up!
I also was not one bit surprised that Arias own siblings and not even Darryl Brewer or the other ex -- Matt-- could not bring themselves to be here and plead for her to get the 25 year sentence. The fact is...it appears no one cares if they never see her again!
Her own mother admitted she will continue to turn her attention NOW to her other children and grandchildren. The family may write her now and then, to ease their own conscience a bit, but that's it, I think. They may be secretly glad that this is over and she's no longer ever going to come back and live under their roof again, even in 17 or 18 years!

I find it interesting that Arias sounded so defensive, in my opinion, to torture the family one last time. Is there anywhere I could watch this again, does anybody know? I did have it on HLN but you don't get to really see much because of the advertisements. Maybe somebody will post the entire day somewhere. If you hear of this, please let me know so I can watch it without advertisements.
I know of no law that says that Arias's mother couldn't testify. She seems to be a lot like her daughter, the daughter with the beautiful soul.

Jodi is still trying to get a retrial' that will override her guilty phase, and has been for the entire retrial, simply put her wounding Travis killed him, so the order of attack is unimportant, but Jodi knows Travis's neck wasn't sliced on the carpeting, to cut arteries blood pumps 5 feet, (I've seen it) and bedroom would have had spray.
Jodi wants her PI to interview her' pronto, because she wants to get her supporters back interested. Her 30 days of Solitary hopefully keeps PI at bay for his Audio only interview.
Jodis PI claims Jodi has enough appeal money, her mother has been living in Mesa area, I'm told for 2 years, but she was there already when Jodis sister arrived, this paragraph is Twitter info so it's just hearsay.
On the record Willmott said that Travis wasn't accused of having Porn issue, she committed career suicide, Jodi bus plowed her.
I think JSS should have said more than the minimum amount of words posable, to me she didn't listen to the Alexander family pleas.
June first Wrongful Death Alexander lawsuit is a long way off,
Jodi is Now on her Fourth excuse and she thinks that's worth court review of guilt (1st) phase, my opinion is Jodi planned to say what she said, (it was in her excuse arsenal) most disagree.
Nurmi is like everyone, the Jodi bus will plow over, yes she will blame inadequate council, and Whatever.
Jodi will likely try to sue Nurmi, then MDLR, then Willmott then JSS, then boyfrends and all lastly her family.
Jodis mother told florez in California as much as that, Jodi was guilty, and that was why Martinez would have destroyed her if she testified, all Jodi offers her mother is lies' so her mother must adapt to the lies' or abandon Jodi.
Jodi has a lawsuit against Martinez for 3 whatever reasons.
JSS said time served and Life without Possibility of Parole, so the time served was in her thought pattern.

I have been thinking about the fact that JSS was short in her address to Arias.
I believe she was absolutely disgusted with what Arias had to say (along with Willmott).
Given that Arias admitted to the Alexander family that she remembered the knife going into Travis' throat AND that he was conscious, I am sure she wanted to be rid of her ASAP for this last diabolical attack on the family.
Nothing that she could have said about how she felt about Arias would have meant anything and hit deaf ears with Arias. They would have been wasted words (except maybe to get on record).
JSS's remarks made it very clear where she stood and why Natural Life was the ONLY sentence for Arias.
I admire JSS's composure and swift sentencing.

Thanks for the links, Lunarscope. Also, did you guys notice how Mrs Sandy Arias made a point of how broke she and the family are to explain why only she was at the court to support her daughter with the beautiful soul? It will be interesting if anybody is ever able to show that the Arias people have made money on this case, therefore showing just another falsehood. And the lies continue with Mrs Arias by her interview outside of the court saying how people including her step-daughter had seen bruises. I don't remember now if she herself said she saw bruises, but I don't remember any testimony that Arias went to Yreka until she moved back there and no testimony that the Arias family came to visit Arias but there was evidence that the father said in the Flores interview that they weren't allowed to go visit her because she didn't want them around. Mrs Arias made it sound like she wasn't allowed to testify because this wasn't a fair trial. I don't think that is the case.
Also, Lunarscope, where do you think Arias cut Travis's throat? I think the suggestion is that his throat was cut right there where the carpeting started in the doorway. If he was facedown, she could have held his head up and slit his throat right there and the blood would have just poured onto the carpet, right?
I too am very happy with the judge's sentencing, Nern. I have to admit that after the first trial, I expected that the judge would give her life with possibility of release, but I was wrong.
Hopefully very shortly Arias will just be another number in the prison system but somehow I suspect that she will be pulling more stunts.
Also - MDLR looks very bad. This has affected her physical appearance. I saw her standing behind Wilmott yesterday when Wilmott was talking to a reporter and MDLR really has changed in her looks. Big time. Maybe this is what happens to people who have to be in close contact with Arias.
