RE: End is Near Hopefully - Lunarscope - 02-22-2015

Justice, That video has Jodi stopping at McDonald and although she had a recipient' she was nowhere near there, (her ninja skateboarders) the truth among deception is Jodi did actually go to karaoke at Margaretaville on the California coast then strait south to Salinas, her route was at San Jose (had a missed appointment = Guy Searyl = met up with him next morning) she crossed the mountain to the pacific ocean' (40 minute shortcut) then bar hopped, and the fog deception was only used in the first guilt phase' its been ignored since.

I wish Travis had told us that the stolen journal was a journal detailing Jodi's deviousness, instead I blindly assume and that's not a available argument!

I never thought about that not being Travis's voice, I lean toward the tape being Jodi to blackmale Travis, so its counter to my assumed reason for the tape, I can rethink' but I'm unsure it that's needed, I agree the male privates were not Travis or Travis's fingernails = cuticles, and Daryll's hands do match.
The defense uses the kitchen sink defense, = argue anything and everything just for jury confusion.

In that video their are the in shower pictures, bottom left is the only picture with the shower door closed (83 seconds between pictures) and the water spots on door are unmistakable, also the shower door picture has camera halfway between floor and ceiling, last two pictures camera was above the floor, in relationship to Jodi had to have had camera strapped around her neck during slaughter, because camera was not kicked around snapping pictures!

I had to edit so I added info.

RE: End is Near Hopefully - Observer - 02-23-2015

This jury has a completely different picture of Jodi Arias than the last jury.

The first jury saw Jodi Arias in action for 18 days detailing every sex act she performed since she was a teenager, lying about the gas cans, the skateboarders messing with her license plates, Travis owning a gun which she accidentally shot him with and the fog that caused her to forget stabbing him 29 times and slitting his throat and nearly decapitating him.

They also saw the snide sarcastic side of her that this jury only saw through her cousin Amy’s eyes if they listened to D., DeMarte as she took on Juan Martinez during his cross examination of her and they heard her admit during cross examination that she stabbed Alexander 29 times, slit his throat nearly decapitating him and shot him in the head.

This jury only saw a meek woman who barely spoke in a whisper speak about how remorseful she was about what she had done and wished she could take it all back, how she only lied about killing Alexander because she was in denial and how abused she was by her parents and cheating abusive boyfriends.

All they’ve heard from defense experts is that Travis Alexander was a jealous, possessive, boyfriend who abused her mentally, physically and verbally, cheated on her by having sex with 12 different women in one month and desired little boys and girls and looked at child porn on his computer and that Arias was a pacifist who just wanted to be loved.

However, because neither Arias nor her witnesses have talked about the murder, the jury doesn’t know she claims she killed him in self defense which may be a good thing.

In their closing statements, Nurmi and Wilmott will try to imply that because Arias is mentally ill and Alexander drew her back into the relationship by insisting she come visit him, then used her for sex, she just snapped and killed him.

However, Martinez will most likely use the same argument as he did in his last closing statement that the photographs of the last 60 seconds of Alexander’s life and forensic evidence shows the stab wounds were not the result of a frenzy heat of passion attack but specifically directed to kill as Arias stabbed him in the shower, he tried to take the knife away, get away and she chased him down continuing to stab him in the back, head, neck and then slit his throat nearly decapitating him and he bled out, she dragged him back to the sink, shot him in the head when he was already dead and then dragged him to the shower to wash off any evidence on his body.

When Martinez brings the jurors back to why they are there in the first place, they will see the autopsy pictures and relive the pain, fear and anguish Alexander felt as he tried to escape a relentless killer who ambushed him in his own shower as he sat on the floor naked and helpless and chased him down as he tried to escape and how he screamed in pain every time she thrust the knife into his naked flesh.

Then they will remember Samantha’s and Stephen’s pain and grief.

And they will forget all about Alexander's text messages to women, porn on his computer and the perceived victimization of a woman who has Borderline Personality Disorder but is sane enough to plan, execute a coverup a horrific murder of a man who rejected her.

When they go into deliberations the autopsy pictures will be fresh in their minds and they will think only of the pain he suffered and hopefully vote for death.

I loved that video because it exactly sums up the premeditation, the murder, the extreme cruelty and why she deserves the death penalty.

Justice,
I too thank you for this link. It certainly clears up any issues one might have thinking there was no premeditation.
The only unfortunate part for me was I saw photos that I had not seen before and they are very disturbing.
I cannot help but think that the same feelings will be had by the jury when Martinez shows them again in his closing argument.

There is no question that this jury has seen a different side of Arias from the first jury.
Their knowledge of Arias has not come from Arias herself at this point as it did for 18 days in the first trial.

What they HAVE seen and heard however is....

MOST IMPORTANT - Arias has been convicted of Premeditated First Degree Felony Murder with the Aggravating Factor of EXTREME CRUELTY and......she is a pathological liar.

1. The graphic photos of Travis in death
2. The suffering of the Alexander family
3. A meek and remorseful Arias on the stand
4. The letter that was sent to the Alexander family showing no remorse and the innuendo that Deanna could have had something to do with the murder
5. Her attendance at the memorial service followed by her flirting with a man on the plane and getting his number
6. The unsubstantiated claims of child abuse
7. The unsubstantiated claims of her parents being drug users
8. The unsubstantiated claims that Travis was a pedophile
9. The unsubstantiated claims that Travis' computer was full of porn
10. The unsubstantiated claims that Travis physically abused her
11. The solicitation by Arias of witnesses who have proven to be lying on their affidavits
12. A diagnosis of BPD
13. A unsubstantiated diagnosis of PTSD
14. Lack of credibility/ethics and professionalism of the defense's "experts" witnesses BUT credible testimony from the state's experts
15. ARIAS KNOWS RIGHT FROM WRONG
16. Arias scored high in intelligence (which speaks to #15)
17. Total lack of family/friends support by coming forward as mitigation witnesses in open court
18. NO ONE coming forward to speak as to why she should live
19. Finally, they will see that not even Arias would take the stand again, under oath, and testify in her own defense
20. They will hear an allocution/speech from Arias, NOT UNDER OATH, lauding herself as a good person with much to give to others and should not lose her life over "just one day"

Juan Martinez will remind the jury of all of the above in his closing argument. He will bring in the human side of the true victim in this case, Travis Alexander. He will accentuate the aggravating factor of Extreme Cruelty, part of her conviction.

Nurmi/Wilmott/Arias will only repeat what the jury has heard, ad nauseum, and point out, emphatically, that she is mentally ill and should not be put to death. Never mind that in the eyes of the law, she is competent as evident of this trial in the first place!

RE: End is Near Hopefully - Observer - 02-23-2015

Breaking News:

Jurors No. 5, a middle aged female, and Juror No. 12, a male, were excused this morning. The jury was sent to lunch at 11:20 am and told to return at 1:30 pm.

That leaves 14 jurors and only two alternates. There are nine women and five men left on the jury.

A female juror was seen in the hallway leaving in tears after the judge discussed a “juror matter” in chambers with Arias, Nurmi, Wilmott, Martinez and the Alexander sisters.

There were also heated sidebars between the judge, Nurmi, Wilmott and Martinez and the courtroom yelled above the white noise that he can't type with everyone talking at once.

Wilmott handed Martinez a huge stack of papers and there was no witness in the courtroom so reporters were guessing that the defense was resting and closing arguments will begin tomorrow.

It’s anybody’s guess why they were excused or if Nurmi will call any more witnesses or just rest.

After telling the Supreme Court she can’t testify because of death threats, Arias may not even allocute.

14 jurors left? The judge needs to get this show on the road. Wouldn't it be horrible if 3 more were dropped before the week is out? Will we ever know why these jurors were kicked out? Observer, do you think Arias won't allocute?

RE: End is Near Hopefully - Observer - 02-23-2015

More breaking news.

Jodi Arias wants to allocate in secret and have the public and media thrown out. That's what Martinez and the defense have been arguing about all morning.

The judge will probably throw them out of the courtroom and let them hear it in the overflow room.

I think she will allocate because it is very important for her to show the jury and the world that she is a talented, caring person and not a cold blooded murderer. Obviously, she let her hair grow for two years so she would be able to donate eight inches of hair for wigs for cancer patients and held another auction of her eye glasses and a drawing for the soul purpose of bragging in allocution that she donated the proceeds to St. Jude's Hospital and the Food Bank.

She wants the jurors and public to know that the world is better off with a wonderful caring talented woman in it than that cheating, womanizing, violent pedophile.

RE: End is Near Hopefully - NERN - 02-23-2015

Maybe the defense read my post questioning their intention of putting on more witnesses after the crucifying of Geffner last week - LOL, LOL !!

The COA said that it was reasonable to have the media and public in another room listening as Arias speaks. Given this, good chance it will happen during her allocution.

Arias will allocate - she has to have the last word.
I would also bet that she will get it in there that she is doing so with the courtroom cleared because of the death threats against her.
Trouble with this is that although not actually watching her, they will be listening and will report what she says immediately - the very thing she didn't want.

I do not understand that she does not have to allocate in open court as other defendants must. She is not special. And for sure, other defendants have had death threats as well.

We would have been remiss if we had thought that one last grandstanding act wouldn't have been done by Arias. With the end so near, she had to do something!

The jury will see that she is alone before them - NOT UNDER OATH - and find it very difficult to believe anything that she says.

Nern, I hadn't actually thought of her allocuting (or is it allocating? I don't know.) while NOT UNDER OATH. I wonder if the jury will think of that - the not under oath thing. I believe that Arias testified in the first trial while under oath and I didn't believe anything she said. I don't think the jury believed much of her testimony either. I really am curious what this current jury will say after this trial is over and done with. I hope some of them speak out. I hope this thing gets over soon before more jurors are kicked out.

RE: End is Near Hopefully - Lunarscope - 02-23-2015

It's not the lack of Allocation' the Jury will miss, it is failure to ask questions of Jodi, Jodi not having mitigation or anyone to speak on het behalf is what's damaging, to allocate is useless, so Jodi chooses to reintimidate the judge to have appeal money continue, nothing more' no petition for appeal will receive an appeals hearing, Jodi is fighting for her support base not for her life!

RE: End is Near Hopefully - Observer - 02-23-2015

I was wrong. Jodi refused to allocute if the public and media listened to what she said because she believes her life is in danger.

It is a game because she believes that not allocating will get a death sentence overturned and she will walk.

Closing statements are tomorrow. I am relieved. It is almost over and we didn’t have to listen to any more BS.

Here’s the tweets:
Beth Karas @BethKaras
#JodiArias just made a voluntary waiver of her right to allocute to the jury to express remorse, explain the crime, and plead for mercy.

CBS 5 News ✔ @CBS5AZ
Arias tells judge again she does not want to address jury with public present - even if public is moved to another viewing room.#jodiarias

Monica Lindstrom @monicalindstrom
#jodiArias wants to allocute but will only do it in private, if court cannot kick us out completely then she will not allocute.

Troy Hayden ✔ @troyhaydenfox10
So bottom line here, Arias will not tell the jury why her life should be spared if public is allowed to watch. Odd move. #JodiArias
