I am so pleased that JSS is sticking to her guns and not allowing Arias to have her way.
JSS is upholding the Supreme Court's ruling!
Arias has the opportunity for allocution and is CHOOSING OF HER OWN FREE WILL not to if cannot be in a closed courtroom.
She emphatically said she wanted to speak but on her terms.
This is despite what apparently her lawyers stated to the judge - that she did not want to.
JSS essentially said to Arias - sorry about your luck.
This will speak VOLUMES to the jury.
NO ONE, not even the defendant spoke to save her life!
I do wonder what could happen tomorrow though. Never a dull moment when Arias is at the helm with plans.

It's a clever manipulation by Jodi Arias.
She believes that if her appellate court attorney argues that she didn't voluntarily give up her rights because she is mentally ill and perceived her life was in danger she will walk free.
Mental illness will not cut it.
Aileen Wurmos was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder and she was crazier than Jodi Arias. Her eyes were bugging out and she was hallucinating and her death sentence held up and she was executed.
The crazier they are the more danger they are to society.

It's less the Jodi allocation' the Jury will not get to offer questions, that gives Jodi no mitigation and no supporters plus no voice!
The judge should (unlikely) return the cameras for closing arguments (hope their released first) and the Defense only have the Ninja porn plus the crazy card (judge asked Jodi if she was on medications today) then Martinez attacks for Travis, 10 minutes of deliberations, never to have a jury panel appeal!
It's all JII's fault for convincing Jodi that this was a retrial (new stuff was allowed) and they accomplished the DP' when all Jodi needed from day one was to reveal where the Knife and Gun were stashed! JII must be proud of their Dementia' one and all!

Yes, I believe she now thinks she has grounds for an appeal and mistrial.
Yes, she is once again manipulating.
Yes, she is trying to show she is mentally ill but a mentally ill person does not try to blackmail the court - TWICE - and then waives her rights. She knows exactly what she is doing and she knows right from wrong - this has been proven.
She is not incompetent under the eyes of the law.
She voluntary waived her right to an allocution knowing that she would not be cross-examined in any way.
When JSS stated to HER that her lawyers said she did not want an allocution, she corrected them and said she did.
The Supreme Court's ruling stands - no secret testimony and I am sure this includes an allocution.
Still, tomorrow isn't here yet and one never knows what she will do.

Nern, what do you bet she stages a melt down and threatens to kill herself and is transported to the psych ward tonight.
She's going to try to get out of having to pay for her crime.

She wants a crazy card delay' but I think we will get a verdict and the DP should only require a few years, 10 Million is what Travis's Slaughter cost Arizona so why spend money feeding her!

It would not surprise me one bit if she tried something tonight.
I can see her having a melt down caused by her despondency and fear which is manifested by her "mental illness".
At least that is what would be claimed.
Again, closing arguments haven't started yet!

The calculation was done for only the defense teams half after the last trial, 10 million costs for the trial was in a Arizona news report this week (said cost was nearing) but courthouse and housing Jodi with guards wasn't calculated.
That's why I exacted that the Slaughter cost Arizona, the price will soon be published, I'll wait for the tally report!
Maybe this will help' it tells who to ask!
PHOENIX (AP) -- The cost to Arizona taxpayers for Jodi Arias' defense now tops $2.7 million, and the figure will keep rising as her penalty phase retrial continues in a Phoenix courtroom.
Maricopa County spokeswoman Cari Gerchick released Thursday the amount billed so far by Arias' two court-appointed attorneys after she was unable to pay for her own defense. The figure is up more than $200,000 from the one released in late September.
Prosecutors have declined to provide their costs to try the case.

Right before he rested, Nurmi got admitted into evidence two more affidavits. One was from Jodi Aria's aunt stating that she found the helio phone under the seat when she was driving with her dad. That's the phone that had the sex tape on it.
I find it strange that her aunt bothered to write an affidavit explaining away the helio phone but didn't bother to say by the way spare my niece's life, she was a good girl and list her attributes.
And the other was McGee's mother who said she knew Travis Alexander and he lived at the bishop's house at the same time as her daughter in law did.
So what? Travis Alexander is the victim. The jury's job is to punish Arias for killing him.
Attorney Jeff Gold said the defense is re-litigating the case down from first degree murder to heat of passion manslaughter.
That does them no good because the jury has to accept the last jury's verdict of first degree premeditated/felony murder.
The jury's only job is to decide if the mitigating factors outweigh the aggravator of Extreme Cruelty.
None of the defense's witnesses proved any of the mitigating factors. The state's psychologist proved the Borderline Personality Disorder but the defense's psychologist said she didn't suffer from any personality disorder. Geffner's diagnosis of PTSD doesn't make any sense because it is based on Arias's false claims of the Ninja story and Travis physically abusing her which only came from a pathological liar and there no record of the abuse, no journal entries, no pictures of bruises, no police reports, no witnesses stating they saw bruises or that she even told them he abused her. That's because it was all made up when she realized the Ninja story was not going to fly.
