If nothing else has come from this past year, my belief in reporters and some lawyers has waned even more.
Jeff Gold - He is a defense attorney. I am not sure what State he practices in.
During the first trial, I only saw him when I was (foolishly) watching Nancy Grace each night to get info on the trial. He was being paid to speak from a defense point of view. N.G. constantly interrupted but at the same time, Gold was very adamant and loud with his opinions.
With this trial, he lost my interest when he bashed Juan's closing argument. He felt there should have been more blood and guts to drive home to the jury the extreme cruelty of Arias' crime. Juan was doing his job - trying a sentencing/mitigation trial and his closing was absolutely reflective of this.
His Spreecasts are nightly rantings of his own opinions.
Beth Karas - I really liked her during the first trial. I felt that she was the most unbiased of all the talking heads. She reported the facts and rarely gave a personal opinion.
But things changed for her and she is now no longer with HLN and on her own. She has been extremely busy with her website and blog (which one must pay for) and she did not seem as engaged with this trial. I disagreed a number of times with what she was saying and frankly surprised at her.
Troy Hayden - A story seeker.
I had not heard much about or from him in the first trial until he got his exclusive interview with Arias following the verdict.
Since then, I feel he is working very hard to get exclusive interviews with the main players in this case.
A couple of times, he has not been accurate in his reporting.
He works for FOX and wants to keep his job and advance their ratings.
I do not have much use for him.
I believe there are reputable sites/blogs/forums and FB pages out there reporting on this case.
Number one in my book has been this forum.
It has allowed for good discussions all the while being monitored by Dr. Randle. there have been no "hate mongering" in this forum and each person's comments are respected even if there is disagreement.
I admire Dr. Randle's writings as well.
There are others I like as well but will refrain from writing about them.
Duluth - even the Hughes stated that they felt Travis had commitment issues. I agree that it is not uncommon but for Travis, it was deadly.

Nern, yes, for Travis, his commitment issues were deadly. Yet think of this. Think if Travis had continued on with Arias. Think if he had actually married her. The slaughter would have happened at some point. She would have driven him mad with her obsession with him, checking his emails, his phone, his bank accounts, his businesses. If he had been friendly with women during business, she still would have premeditated his murder. At one point, regardless, she would have done him in. And maybe a woman? Maybe one or some of his friends? She is evil and would have done it even if he had given up his commitment issues.
Lunarscope, you are so right when you say the Arizona courts allowed the slaughter of a dead man. The court bent over backward in my belief. I assume this is legal. It is so sad. And denied a lot of evidence that showed how Arias lied. It is so frustrating. I don't know law, but yes, the dead man was slaughtered over a time period of two trials and several years.

Duluth, I think most people believed Jodi Arias when she testified that Travis Alexander came into her room and had sex with her, then forced her to have anal sex in the car and then refused to kiss her and when she said he had sex with her right after baptizing her.
I know all the HLN analysts and most of the reporters and people who wrote books about the case stated that as a fact.
On the day Arias testified that Travis refused to kiss her or act romantic but just had oral sex with her and left, Vinnie Politano said: “Poor Jodi. Travis wouldn’t even kiss her” and they were all feeling sorry for poor widdle Jodi.
Except for Beth Karas. She was appalled at their buying into Arias victim act and said: “Jodi Arias says that happened. She is a liar and she murdered him in a heinous way.”
Jean Cesares also bought Arias act. She said the sex tape made Travis Alexander look bad. She said, “Jodi Arias really loved him and he sounded like he didn’t even care.”
Cesarez also believed Arias claim that Deanna Reid was crazy and jealous. She said, “Deanna Reid was always at his house and remained friends with him. When a relationship is over. It is over.”
Lunarscope, I believe you are right when you said Jodi Arias gave those jurors names to the Jodi Arias is Innocent site. The sheriff stated that she runs the Jodi Arias is Innocent site from jail along with her twitter account. Simon does what Jodi Arias instructs him to do.
Jodi Arias is the only person who has motive to seek revenge on the 11 jurors so she is the only one who would give the names of the 11 jurors who voted for death to the Jodi Arias is Innocent Site.
Maria De La Rosa, Kirk Nurmi and Jennifer Wilmot don't believe in the death penalty and as a member of the defense team are glad that there was a hung jury.
But they would have no reason to seek revenge against the 11 jurors. They know the law and know they would lose their license and livelihood.
Arias has nothing to lose. She has already lost her freedom and knows she will spend the rest of her life in prison.
Besides she is defiant and believes she is above the rules and law and anyone who doesn't believe her lies is a "hater" and her enemy and she wants revenge against them.
I think it was interesting that Juror No. 17 goes running to the cops as soon as her name is leaked on twitter and claims death threats just like all the Arias witnesses and demands police protection and yet not one of the 11 jurors who voted for the death penalty cried victim and demanded police protection. The Arias supporters are far more dangerous than the Travis Alexander supporters.
After all, it was a Jodi Arias fan who threatened to kill Jane Velez Mitchell and Nancy Grace and was arrested after he quit his job and was headed to their homes to kidnap and kill them. Police found guns, handcuffs, duct tape in his vehicle. He plead guilty to a lesser charge and got probation.

By cutting from here and posting there (always accreditation) many thanked me for keeping the board going, for the last few months and I've just been posting her for a few months!
JDT's blogger sight is where I started' we would post as anon, and then Lunarscope' many were debating Walmart receipt with GB and I was talking roadtrip fuel, GB asked discussion' we conversed for three days and GB went crying by Personal Message to JDT, JDT started Yuku and a month after GB quit I joined' but had been reading all Yuku posts! GB will not try where I post, last last Christmas their was a Candy Crush blog disputing JDT and I cut and pasted from pertaining comments on Yuku to ruin all the Jodi supporters holidays and arguments, they finally closed comments just to post replies without debate!
We have a leader much like Observer in many ways (smart and researching) = Victorious, and (her and me) politely had a dispute, she had compared me with GB and on the third instance' I respectfully took issue, denial resulted, also she said judge Gave 'Allen Charge' I said No' not gave' so after debate I put 1898 Allen Charge's unused in Arizona thread, we also debated stab in shower, carpet stain and amount of clean-up! Anyway after kicking rocks' I left the board awaiting retrial' when I returned she departed and left a gap in conversation, our board never recovered because many regulars also left, or reduced comments' many just view and just seldom comment!
I worked outside for 45 years and was not good at English in school, but did graduate, I multitask at everything from blogging to construction' I see end results for formation of process' most need to build-up to reach that point of understanding, I think I start with Why and If instead of How!
After all that' this board has very great people who are appreciated and I hope both boards have commenters to resolve our uncountable questions built-up in the last 3 years!

@ A DP judgement would have impacted their careers' mostly Nurmi for he was just a public defender' JSS doubled+ his salary pre first trial because he wanted to quit Jodi. He now can charge $250.00 to $300.00 an hour type of difference' compared to his disgusting style losing by slaughtering the victim loss!
Maria De LA Rosa has friends with JII, she was communicating with Jodi supporters as Cougarlicous, she got caught taking a tracing picture out of jail without permission (Jodi filed a drop the DP motion) getting jail into lockdown and banned for 3 days, SW (extreme mental defective revengeful persistent Jodi supporter' who both outs Travis supporters and informs authorities into stupidity, most dangerous) and Maria scheme!
The Casey Anthony verdict was impacted by its Mitigation Specialist and Casey is innocent + Jodi is innocent are both Simon. A American hiding out overseas after scamming millions, justice didn't value the deportation problem' but has just cause for prosecution' now doubley, Maria is guilty of something' I'm assured, and should never have gotten a renewed contract, she will get no less than sanctioned!
Troy hates Martinez with a passion and the DP' his reporting is always schemed'' if the news fits his agenda he's believable!
I was fond of Shanna Hogan until she turncoated on Travis doing a tabloid like news interview' that shocked us on JDT!

This forum may not have a lot of people on it, but those that are here and have been here for a long time are dedicated and ALL do their research when commenting. Questions get asked and others do their best to give an answer, backed by research.
For me, I have enjoyed just having a place to state my feelings, listen to others and learn. It is not the volume of people on the forum but rather the discussions with those who are here that is important. If there is a connection through comments, for me, that is what counts.
Observer -
There will always be people out there who go beyond the boundaries of what is acceptable and the man who was caught for threatening JVM and NG is the minority.
If you read posts on other sites/pages/forums, you will find that their are some really angry and nasty people who support Travis and his family. Some of their remarks are very scary and very hateful.
It is happening on both sides.
I am still inclined to believe that MDR would have been more likely to have leaked the info albeit at the request of Arias. She has continually shown her unprofessionalism as a member of the defense team. It is just my thoughts and not an informed accusation.
But in the end, we do not really know who did it.
We DO know that it was an illegal act and an investigation is ongoing to determine how it happened and who did it.
As far as Juror #17 going to the police after receiving death threats, I would do exactly the same thing if I were in her position. Although I abhor what seems to be a great dishonesty with her, no one deserves threats on their lives.

He did not want her and for that he was doomed.

Arias is an evil person who believes that she is above the laws of the country.
She has shown the depths that she will go to in order to get her way.
But I think that in some ways, people overestimate her and her abilities now that she is out of circulation in the free world.
She will always try her best to muddy the waters, circumvent the law and achieve what she wants and feels she deserves BUT she now is an outed murderess, convicted of her crime and going to the big house probably for the rest of her life.
She will not be as powerful there as people believe.
I do not give her that much credit - after all, all of her lies and actions didn't work for her in the end proving that she is not as smart as she thinks she is.

I was saying Yuku as a forum, but the JDT commenters hold extreme respect in every post' after GB who only disrespected by posting his Wiki links, (he is well manored) we had only one nutcase for a week that many took to task' she started out explaining her psychotic medication, but everyone else has been great for a year and a half On Yuku the threads are 20 to 25 on page, plus theirs a home page that saves downloads' accessed from posting comments, its the same as here with a lot more options that are worth the few bucks, if theirs more than a handful of posters! The Quote works and reply is slightly better, new reply is same, I use the search there often!

In the video below, Troy Hayden of Fox 10 explains how Jodi Arias called him to the jail to ask him to not cover a fundraiser she was having and he said he was never covering it in the first place. She probably thought she could get him to cover it by asking him not to. He said right after the hung jury he asked her as they led her back to Estrella how she felt about the fact that she escaped the death penalty and she said it was okay but a lot of people didn't get what they want. Then she asked him if he had brought cameras and he said yes, that this was her last chance to speak to the media and she was very upset and said no cameras. But the sheriff's office wouldn't stop Hayden as he followed her through the tunnel asking her questions. She put an envelope up to her face. It wasn't the interview she minded, it was the fact that she didn't get the chance to put on makeup, brush her hair and wear civilian clothes. She hates being on camera without makeup and in shackles and stripes.

Haydon said in the video that he thought about writing an article for Vanity Fair, GQ or another publication that he likes but decided not to because he didn't think it would be interesting.
He also poo-pooed a book.
I do believe that down the road he, like so many others, will not capitalize on all the information he has about Arias - messages, phone calls, etc. and write something.

Troy Hayden was only known in Phoenix by viewers who watch Fox 10 until Jodi Arias made him a nationally known name when she chose him to interview her right after the guilty verdict.
She chose him because she believes she can manipulate him easier than the other reporters covering the case.
Arias considers Hayden her buddy and is still writing him letters and calling him from jail and even summoned him to the jail to talk to her and of course being the opportunist he is, Hayden ran right down there to see what she wants.
Arias will be getting face to face visiting time in eight months so you can bet Hayden will be one of her visitors and she will be feeding him propaganda she wants her fans to know. He will eventually write a book telling what she tells him, which is her plan.
The Maricopa Sheriffs’ Department gave Arias and Hayden special privileges and allowed them to speak in a private room rather than through glass.
Apparently, the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Department gives Hayden special privileges that they do not give to other media outlets.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio said Arias would not get any more camera time and then gave Troy Hayden and Fox news exclusive permission to ask Arias how she felt about escaping the death penalty as she was taken back to Estrella Jail in stripes and shackles following the hung jury.
No other media outlets were allowed to follow Arias, just Fox 10. Hayden was allowed to talk to her privately and then the Fox cameras were allowed to follow her even though she said, “No cameras.”
“I’m sad some people didn’t get the verdict they want,” Jodi Arias told Troy Hayden before the cameras got there.
Of course, that’s a lie because being a psychopath Arias doesn’t know what it is like to feel sad and being a psychopathic pathological liar Arias is pleased that she got what she wanted. In her allocution in May 2013, she said she wanted to be in general population, not on death row.
She knew the chances of her being executed were slim and a long way off but she did not want to be sitting in her cell alone with few privileges 23 hours a day for the rest of her life.
Even the sheriff’s department knows she is masterminding the Jodi Arias is Innocent Internet site and the Jodi Arias Updates twitter account from jail.
Her true feelings about the 11 jurors who voted for death were expressed on her website and on that Jodi Arias Update site. It was hateful and revengeful.
I am saddened that she will not be confined to death row but will continue to taunt the Alexander family through letters she will send to her websites, twitter account and Troy Hayden.
Jodi Arias will never stop with her vengeful scheme against people she considers “haters” who are out to kill her.

Observer, I fear too that Arias will never stop her vengeful schemes against many people. My hope is that she will soon be forgotten by everybody and her vengeance will go nowhere. I hope she won't be the hero of the prison for her slaughter of an innocent man, but I fear she will be their hero for a while. Soon though, at some point of passing time, people will be tired of her vile ways and only a few hangers-on will be interested. I sincerely hope the Alexander family will be able to stop thinking about her and her wily ways. I know it will be a long time but I hope they can go on with their lives.
I know nothing about Troy Hayden except people either love him or hate him. That is interesting in itself. He's just a reporter for a news channel, I think. I guess some people must think he is pro-Arias and others think he is anti-Arias. I can't speak to it because I haven't heard him but once or twice and didn't get an impression one way or the other. I just viewed him as a reporter.
