I have been saying (almost 2 years) that the Jodi supporters are accepting brainwashing and will regret in time without condition, their all sick and throw their money to a swindler = simon, but I don't read there' I just read what's reported that the sickos on JII say by our JDT membership who hate their comments!

I was listening to the Gold Patrol as you were posting the link, Nern.

I like to listen to Attorney Jeff Gold recap the week's testimony on Gold Patrol because he explains why the defense and prosecutor do what they did. I don't always agree with him but I agree with these comments he made:

Gold said the defense is trying to re-litigate the murder as a second degree murder in the mitigation trial so the jury will think it wasn't that bad and give her life.

He said this is a skeptical jury based on the questions they are asking the witnesses and Martinez was smart to put up Aber Abdehaldi, Deanna Reid and Bishop Vernon Parker.

Gold asked: Why did the bishop come with a lawyer? Cathy Russon of Court Chatter, an LDS member, said he was going to the court as a representative of the LDS Church, he is a clergyman so he has a privilege of confidentiality and it was smart of the church to provide him with an attorney.

Gold asked: "What was Juan's purpose for putting Bishop Parker on stand?" He answered himself: "To show Marc McGee is a liar. That affidavit is meaningless. Travis Alexander did not touch the computer. Marc McGee did have access. Marc McGee brought to the bishops attention the pop ups of the scantily clad women and Travis was not there when porn found."

Russon brought up that the jury believed Deanna Reid over Marc McGee and one question in particular proved it: Juror: Did Travis ever tell you he was sexually abused as a child. Deanna: No.

Gold said the "magic underpants" comment should have been admitted because it showed Jodi Arias was manipulative.

On Deanna Reid sparring with Wilmott the first day of her testimony:

Gold said, "She was meek and mild at the last trial but in this trial she was ready to fighting for Travis. She is angry. She is protective of him. She loves him. She was ready to defend his honor."

Russon said: "She is going to march in there and not take any crap. She is sick of this."

Welcome to the board Justjrep. I'm glad you weren't offended by what I said about your comment on another blog. I knew you were confused about what was going on and hoped Lunarscope would pass on the comment to you. It is confusing to understand what the deceptive defense is up to. I am sure a lot of people who aren't LDS might find it strange that we would date someone for four years and not have vaginal sex except once. But I am LDS and I believe every word out of Deanna Reid's mouth because we are taught not to lie and not to have premarital sex. She would not lie. No, she did not disclose that she had sex with Alexander in the deposition with the defense but if asked outright: Did you have sex with Travis Alexander? she would have said yes.

We believe our sex life is private and we do not talk about it in public. So I imagine it was difficult for her to take the stand and admit she had sex and was sanctioned for it. But she did it in the name of justice because like millions of people who didn't even know Travis Alexander, she is outraged that his murderer and her supporters are making up lies about him and her. I imagine Deanna Reid went through the roof when she heard of Marc McGee's lies. She hadn't even met him and yet he is claiming to have consoled her after Travis attacked her. I am sure Alexander's family and friends are aware of McGee taking to social media to trash Alexander and brag that he is going to testify for Jodi Arias and get her out of jail. But when push came to shove, he was too cowardly to even take the stand, reveal his name, swear under oath and face rigorous cross examination and be proven a liar by Juan Martinez and risk being charged with perjury. Instead he hides behind a piece of paper in New Zealand where he figures he won't be charged with perjury for lying on a sworn affidavit.

I think the defense (Arias) is screwed after the excellent and truthful testimonies by the Bishop and Deanna. Martinez successfully threw out the affidavit and what was said in it by McGee. He exposed him as the liar that he is and how he would do anything to help Arias.

Now we get to look forward to DeMarte!

Whether Arias will ultimately get the DP is still up in the air but the state certainly took the issue closer to its conclusion.

I also think that it is a good thing that McGee lives in New Zealand. He may be able to hide from his notorious affidavit a little better there.
I would also think that the Mormon Church would be considering severe ramifications against McGee for his outrageous lies that were proven in court. He even deceived the Bishop through all of this.
I do not know how he can call himself a member of the Mormon Church, or any other for that matter, given his deceitful behaviour.
And.....surely his wife (unless she is an accomplice to these lies) would be wondering if her husband is worthy at all as HER husband.

I suspect that Marc McGee is mentally ill and is a porn addict and may have been excommunicated by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or left the church years ago and may be bitter about it. If Deanna Reid had not met McGee and Travis Alexander wasn't living at the bishop's house when his fiancée was living there, I doubt if McGee even personally knew Travis Alexander. Perhaps the bishop and his wife and son raved about Alexander because he had just returned from an LDS mission and was popular with the women in the singles ward. Returned missionaries are great catches in single wards and McGee had probably never been on an LDS mission. Alexander was in a serious relationship with Linda at the time and had dated Deanna before she went on her mission. McGee met his wife online so obviously the women in the singles ward would not go out with him or marry him.

Lying, looking at pornography and murder are serious sins in the LDS religion. Plus, LDS members believe in the laws of the land. No member who takes his vows seriously would go online and support a woman on trial who butchered an LDS man who was a close confidant and lie online and on a sworn affidavit. Marc McGee is not a common name and there were many posts on social media by a Marc McGee who said he knew Travis Alexander. I only read three posts by Marc McGee and one said he never saw Travis Alexander hit a woman but he could understand Arias being offended by Alexander because of the way he spoke to women. In another, he asked Juan Martinez if he was dumb or stupid for trying to get the death penalty for Arias since the last man who tried to kill her ended up decomposing in the shower and said she wanted to live. In another post, Marc McGee said he was going to testify for Arias and when she got out of jail, he would remember who "pissed" him off. He sounded psychotic to me.

Cathie from Court Chatter said the media didn't get to read the entire affidavit although parts of it were posted on the screen in court during Geffner's and the bishop's testimony. According to tweets from the courtroom, in that affidavit McGee had said Travis Alexander was living at the bishop's house when McGee discovered kiddy porn on the bishop's computer in 2001, McGee said he had awakened Alexander to ask him about it and they talked all night and Alexander admitted he had been molested as a child and had addiction to kiddy porn and had put the porn on the computer. McGee claimed he never told the bishop because he looked at the porn and would not be able to be married in the temple.

The bishop testified that Alexander had left the house in August 2000 and was not even there when McGee reported the popups of scantily clad women caused by a virus on the bishop's computer. The bishop testified that the porn belonged to a guy named Jake who had stayed in a room in his house and said he would never discipline a member for accidentally discovering a virus generated popup. The bishop said he took the computer to the shop to get the virus removed and was told there was never any kiddy porn on the computer.

McGee has to be mentally ill and not a serious member of the church or he would know his lies would be exposed to the world who is following this case. He was all over social media bragging that he was testifying for Arias so anybody who followed the case on social media would know his name.

A small gratification is' everyone that supports Jodi either get run over by the Jodi bus or get the unfit for humanity reputation, family and attorneys included, not to mention the nut cases who tried to use her for their private agendas' only to find that Travis was respectable, hardworking and forthright, or simply human!

Hi everyone. I'm new, but have been lurking for a long time even before the crash.

There is a friend of Travis’ who is also named on the Prosecution witness list. I don’t recall his name, (I’m thinking it was Trevor or something like that) but he testified during the guilt phase about times when Arias showed up uninvited and unwanted. Travis had confided to him how she showed up, sometimes in the middle of the night, unexpectedly. It will be obvious that she was obsessed with him, but not in ‘love’ with him. With each new man in her life, whom she always moved in with and lived with, it was for her a ‘step up’ in her lifestyle.

In my opinion, she wanted to be the wife of Travis to share his income, wanted to share in his popularity and friendship with so many people, she wanted to travel with him on his trips, wanted his 5 bedroom home and dreamed about the prestige that would be hers as ‘MRS. Travis Alexander. I think too that she had probably considered advantages she would have as a ‘landlady’ since Travis rented out rooms to young men, which likely helped with his mortgage payments. But I don’t think she killed him due to jealously or the trip to Cancun and who he was taking with him. It seems to me she wanted to share his lifestyle and thought she could lure him into marriage and have a more upscale life for herself. I even doubt that all the ‘secret’ sex capers happened. Maybe at first, but not near all that she claimed. She named too many dates than normally would be remembered when these things happened, and they happened ONLY according to her.

I do hope Juan is still going to call that good friend of Travis that was on the original Prosecution witness list and I hope he gets to testify. He may not, the way the Judge is keeping out so much the defense calls ‘prejudicial’, like her statement about ‘magic’ in her underwear. This has proven to not be a Sentencing trial, but a retrial of her guilt or innocence which has already been proven with different evidence that is now not being allowed in,even though it was presented in the Guilt and Aggravation phases. How is that legal?

Welcome Justice. Excellent post. Taylor Searle, Travis Alexander's best friend, was on the original state rebuttal witness list for the retrial as was Alexander's roommate Zach Billings. Neither testified in the last trial. Both have been on HLN.

The only friend of Alexander's I recall testifying at the trial was the man who took the video of Alexander at a PPL event with Jodi Arias lying in his lap, his arm around her as he told friends about the robber who put the gun to his head, pulled the trigger, the gun jammed as several of his friends surround them. Martinez showed the video without the sound to prove that Arias was affectionate with Travis Alexander at a PPL event. The witness was called to rebut the defense claim that Arias was Alexander's "dirty little secret" and that Alexander never took Arias around his friends or held her hand. He said that Alexander brought her to PPL events all the time. He said when Arias and Alexander were dating, they were a couple.

Billings found Alexander's body and witnessed Alexander and Arias arguing when she came over to get her junk out of his garage and moved back to Yreka. Searle said Alexander was unhappy when he found out Arias had moved to Mesa after they broke up and was relieved when she moved back to Yreka. Searle helped Alexander get rid of the virus on Alexander's computer, which was putting on porn sites. Alexander also told Searle showed him the "harsh" text messages he sent to Arias in which he called her a sociopath and said she was the worst thing that happened to him. Searle said he asked him if he should have sent those messages and asked him if he was afraid she might do something to him. Travis told him no. He was just glad it was over and looking forward to moving on, said he had met a girl he really liked. He was relieved Arias was finally out of his life.

Searle said Alexander had confided in him about the sex he was having with Arias. He said she was a nymphomaniac and he knew he should resist the temptation and he was working with the bishop to repent and stop the sex with Arias.
If Alexander told anybody he had been molested as a child, he would have told Searle or Deanna Reid. He would not tell Arias or McGee.

Thank you, Observer! Yes, it was Taylor Searle I was thinking about. I thought he had testified, but I hope he is still on the Witness list. I know Juan has had to add some witnesses because the defense was claiming thing about them that they definitely would know about, like Abe and Deanna, but I really hope Taylor will get to testify, with all he knows! Not just parts.

This is, by far, the worst case I have ever followed, due to decisions from the bench. I'm still wondering how on earth her lawyers managed to get her into the 'Omnibus' coming up. Is she really the only one on that list who is already CONVICTED? Does anyone know? And, if the Judges rule against the death penalty after this jury SENTENCES her, could it be thrown out if they give her the sentence of death?

Sorry for all the questions, but we have days to go before Monday morning and I figure its a good time to ask questions that are bothering me.
