Great to hear about Napoleon' I thought he was old and struggling so I assumed the worst, I'll share!

JSS took steps to stop Jodi from tweeting, didn't work, she will write in letters tweet comments and her page manager will continue to speak as if Jodi is talking, most of Jodi tweets are not Jodi but some are, she will continue because money finds her account!

A Jodi appeals just a formality if DP, it a request to have JSS to grant her a trial!

Some say a appeal could cost $100,000.00 I very much doubt that, Jodi is a unmanageable nightmare of a client and attorneys don't work 15 years for free just for fame, this case is a circus, who would ringlead for free, case review would take years!
Observer, I didn't see that posting. Sometimes I think these postings happen at the same time. And you are so right about the nut cases. Law enforcement is in danger because of these types. I remember a year or so ago, anyway, a while back, when a rancher in Nevada who wasn't paying fees for running his cattle on state or federal land (I don't remember which) became a hero of these types of nuts who thought he shouldn't have to pay the fees like other ranchers and a couple of those people went on to kill a couple of law enforcement officers and another person, I believe. It was so horrible that innocent people had to die because these people thought the government was taking their (or the rancher's) freedom away. These kinds just don't think rationally at all and can become violent. And actually did become violent. This is what is so scary about the Arias supporters. I can only assume they think she should have murdered Travis. Probably there are some hanging around the courthouse or possibly even in the courtroom.
Lunarscope, I think Napoleon was less than a year old when Travis Alexander was murdered. He got him as a baby. I'm sure Deanna treats him like the baby she never had with Travis. She probably is glad to have something Travis cherished so much to love and baby. It is good that Travis willed his pug to Deanna because she can spoil him like he deserves. Most of his siblings have children and probably have pets. Deanna is like a member of the Alexander family and she lives in Long Beach near the Alexander siblings so they all got to see Travis's "baby" grow up.

Duluth, you posted 1 minute after I did so you were writing your post when I posted. That's why you never saw it.

It's interesting that Judge Stephens is starting another capital case next week. I wonder if that was the case of the cop killer that Martinez is prosecuting. That was supposed to start in February but had to be postponed due to Arias and her attorneys dragging their feet.

Dogs can be a great comfort when you lose someone in a tragedy.

Many years ago, the 20 year old son of a good friend of mine was murdered by two hitchhikers he picked up as he was driving cross country to visit her. Someone found his dog running out in the desert and took it to the pound. The pound called his sister because her telephone number was on the tag. Her brother and his dog were inseparable so she knew if the dog was found without her brother that her brother was missing. She drove 60 miles to pick up the dog and called her mother who was worried because her brother was a day late and hadn't called. They reported him missing.

But his body was not found where the dog was found but found two weeks later in another state badly decomposed. The two men were arrested when they were found driving his car. One man confessed and testified against the other. He said they shot him for his car, turned the dog loose, threw him in the trunk and drove across two states. He was still alive when they took him out of the trunk but they shot him in the head and buried him in a shallow grave.

The man who confessed got Life without Parole and the other man, who actually did the shooting, got the death penalty because the victim suffered a cruel death. The dog grieved his master for months and then finally bonded with my good friend and she got great comfort from the dog until he died 12 years later. She was divorced and lived alone. Her son had no children so she was grateful to have her son's dog to remember him by.
Observer, wouldn't it be something if Juan has to do another case in front of her!! I am sure we'll find out what case it is soon. But I find it interesting that no one but me thinks it is strange that Stephens would be handed another capital case seeing how long it takes her to hold court. Oh, well.

I only hope I don't get interested in that case. I am now going to listen to that radio show that Nern posted with Paul Sanders. Salhapatica said he is very interesting and she is planning on buying his book.

Nern, thanks so much for posting the Paul Sanders radio interview. I am glad I heard it. I now know that I can go to facebook and read his nightly postings.
Thanks for the dog story Observer, I'm blessed with a pedigree Border Collie (we walk miles she's 14 Classie) who loves everyone and including dogs' but she antaganizes them to bark at her, she gets mad and shreds paper if I'm busy and I act like its a big deal so she never does worse, I can leave a plate of food on coffee table and mow the lawn but if plate is empty she owns it, I say mine and she understands, strangers buy her treats as in burgers snd slim-jims its amazing' she gets invited into businesses because she just lays on the floor staring at me, but she remembers every favorite parts of movies' jumping and barking' the armrest on couches takes a beating, due to TV she has destroyed many couches (it takes her a month to expose the framing wood = I buy cheap at auctions) and a steel frame bed, but I let her' She likes fights and kissing, loves golf and shooting and that's not from me. I often wake-up with her sleeping on my ankles' then I'm not wanting to wake her and I'm stuck!

I read Napolion was old on a support page or web-sluths and it was likely posted for privacy reasons, it worked I haven't seen him in discussion for a very long time!

Their was a crime scene picture of the dog gate, (I didn't capture and could never find again) it was a room divider about 12 foot by 2 foot high' accordion like!

Do you know if Napoleon was called Napi by anyone other than Jodi' I bet the dog avoided her due to her anger issues, I bet she called him napi because he would hide where his beds was at' when she was there!
Lunarscope, I hadn't thought of Napoleon and if he liked Arias. Very good thought. Dogs oftentimes have a sense of ...... I don't know what it's called. I wish we could know if Napoleon was skittish of her. Uh, don't ask how many dogs we have, okay?

And Observer, I loved that dog story as well. And Nern, I am now listening to more radio shows about Arias. Thanks again.
Lunarscope, your dog sounds like a great companion. I love animals. Anyone who is a dog lover is a good person in my book.

It's creeping up on 14 hours when the last jury announced they were hung. Legal analysts are speculating that means they are deadlocked. I don't think it means a thing.

Only one juror changed his or her mind from Day one so the last jury was deadlocked from day one and it never changed. This jury is probably looking through evidence and discussing all the evidence and the mitigators. I've heard of jurors changing positions as they deliberate and then all coming to the same conclusion at the end.

I think Paul Sanders said his jury deliberated for 40 hours over five weeks because they looked at every piece of evidence. Of course, they came back with life but Marisa DeVault had three children who pleaded for her life and no one pleaded for Arias’s life.
Observer, I don't necessarily think the amount of hours means it is hung. There are many trials that the jurors have taken many many hours and come back with a firm decision. I believe jurors do need to discuss all aspects if they want to do a good thorough job. I am hoping that this jury is really looking at evidence and discussing and yes, trying to change a mind or two, maybe. Isn't that what they are supposed to do? Unlike the first trial. I say we just have to play the waiting game. I know I won't accomplish much this week so I just have to accept that. It's the price I pay for my inability to stop focusing on this trial this week. I am pretty sure that I have known of trials that a jury took a couple of weeks or even more to reach a verdict.
I will try to be patient. And I am so glad that others are discussing this trial on this site!!! Thanks, people. I am so glad to be able to say things and read others' thoughts.
I read a reporter tweet we are in the 12 hour of deliberations and a second later another reporter tweeted we are nearing the 14th hour, that's from hash-tag' both regular reporters, not just frequent posters, if I was for life I may change my mind but doubt it would be during deliberations, Note Jodi will have her mother in court at verdict. I posted from Lawbird a reply here' a question was needing answered, I do respect! But I'm not one to be swayed by frenzy, before the first deliberations we on JDT cast votes and here's what we got, note lawbird just cast his vote' but it sounds wishy-washy to me! I posted this there today but SL is the vote updater not me, I edited in the paragraphs!

Changes are allowed before verdict!

Death Penalty = 23/38

LWOPP = 15/38

LWPP25 = 0/38

"0" Voted for a retrial last trial!

A LPP25 = Jury marks undecided on the single verdict form, and JSS choses the lesser, but can she? The first jury asked "What does Life mean"!

Thanks for resurecting SL, I think more will be right than wrong when you do the final tally!

Just now Lawbird said

LWOPP
As we reach the same time line as the last jury (13 hours), I fear there will be another hung jury. With that, the DP (which I would hope for) would be off the table and I believe JSS could find enough aggravation in this matter to give LWOP.
I finally was able to listen to the blog radio interview with Paul Sanders. He was in the courtroom and he watched the jurors and he said he likes the jury, they love Martinez and he predicts a death verdict. He said it is because Jodi Arias has no mitigators.

Beth Karas, Jared Seltzer, Jenn Wood and a former prosecutor all predicted a death sentence. They all said they thought it would be death because of the autopsy pictures and she has no mitigators. I was afraid there may be a hung jury until I heard the very reporters in the courtroom who watched the jury and listened to the evidence say they thought there would be a death sentence. Now I am confident there is a strong possibility of a death sentence.

Nancy Grace said life because of all the delays, Attorney Jeff Wood said life because he doesn't believe in the death penalty and Attorney Monica Lindstrom said life because there are only two women on death row in Arizona. None of that has anything to do with the case before the jury. It is just their prejudiced view. I don't watch HLN and I don't care what their legal analysts have to say.
